despite banking problems (that aren't necessarily their fault)
and besides the ongoing situation regarding bitconica

mtgox has not run away with your coins, and they have become resilient to ongoing hacking attempts.
given how many exchanges have come and went, got hacked to oblivion, or ZhouTonged/TradeFortress-ed
mtgox is still here.

in the bitcoin world of scams at least mtgox isn't trying to be one

ok

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

best thing they have done is capital control withdrawals, it traps any money coming in, preventing it to get out Smiley

Is there any communication on when that is going to change?

The current situation is meant to be temporary to comply with regulations until they have applied for the proper licenses and such?
