Warum selbst China Bitcoin unterstützt

China hat seine Liebe für eine Alternativwährung aus Hackerkreisen entdeckt: Die auf mathematischen Berechnungen basierende dezentrale Währung Bitcoin wird von Baidu Jiasule, einer IT-Sicherheitsfirma, an der Chinas Internet-Gigant Baidu eine Minderheitenbetiligung hält, seit Mitte Oktober als Zahlungsmittel akzeptiert. Das Thema war sogar bereits mehrfach Thema beim staatlichen TV-Sender CCTV.

"Die virtuelle Währung ermöglicht Chinesen die Devisensperre zu umgehen und ihre heimischen Renminbi beispielsweise in Dollar zu tauschen."
