Does anyone know if there is a MMORPG on the horizon using bitcoin as in-game economy?

It would be awesome if a game like EVE would use this as currency.
A lot more fun than a casino game

Second Life has its own currency (Linden Dollars) that has an exchange for their money into USD or BTC.... The only one I know of is www.virwox.com

They even take PayPal Cheesy

Fees on every turn though... coupled with really low limits.

I don't know that much about video games, but last I heard this exists:
EVE corporation that has ISK -> 1Bitcoin shares -> MPOE shares on mpex.co -> bitcoin

also theres this:
http://trilema.com/2013/eulora-game-mechanics-etc/

...
The game currency will be divided into five tiers, with the lowest coin worth 100 satoshi and the highest 100 BTC. All consumables craftables, skills etc will be divided into five tiers as well.

if it's a game that requires you to spend your BTC on it.. i say fuck that. i played crime city on the smartphone platforms, and there were people who were seriously addicted and ended up dropping thousands of dollars.. and that's their business model, to lure you in.

It is a casino, but it's the first MMORPG casino, and it's entirely Bitcoin based. It's also among the first sites to take Bitcoin, and has been in continuous operation since October 2010. I previously developed A Tale in the Desert.

Not really using Bitcoins, but take a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=330533.0  This might also interest you; it is a blockchain-based decentralised game (forked off Namecoin, IIRC).

Use your Namecoin identity as OpenID: https://nameid.org/
