Hey all! So I've done some more adding to the faucet rotator (sites), pulling the best of the best I've found so far. And I wanted to give a sneak peek as to what's coming to the rotator! I'm currently dealing with the design document, but essentially, what I'm looking at changing is:
1) Adding a drop-down menu that supports unlimited coins/altcoins, so it can be an all-in-one rotator. This will also allow for some condensing on the back-end (at the moment, each coin is held separately, but I'll be designing a script that separates them automatically so more can be added as needed)
2) Separation based on:
A) Payment methods (direct, FaucetBox, Xapo, etc.)
B) Anti-AdBlock
C) Sign-Up Required (some faucets require accounts)
The above flags will be able to be changed at any time, so you can customize the faucet list YOU want to see, rather than seeing everything there is.
3) User flags (faucet offline, faucet empty, faucet dead, etc.). I need to work out the specifics behind these, but I'm planning to have a semi-automated system to help temporarily disable sites as they come up with issues. Far too often, people contact me about a faucet, only to find that it's ready again an hour or two later. This will help let users control the process a bit
4) User additions (instead of me having to manually add each site, I'm going to be adding in a user-customizable method of adding new ones). Essentially, what this is going to do is ask for some basic information (that I normally find on my own) to input the site into the database where it belongs. It will then "pend" the site for my approval
5) Adding a new flag for "permanently banned." People keep misrepresenting their faucets to the public, altering them as needed to be added into rotators, and then changing them back as soon as they're added. I will have a flag I add to sites that are permanently banned. If a faucet misrepresents itself, it gets one strike. If it fixes the issue, it will be added to the rotator. If it then reverts back, it will be permanently blocked and will NOT get another chance. There will be NO disputes here, either -- if someone is shady enough to do this (like a few sites have), we absolutely WILL NOT support them, and will do everything we can to block community support. This HAS to stop. It's destructive to the entire faucet community when shady sites do this
6) I'll be re-designing the layout heavily to help support these changes
If anyone has custom additions (things not already implemented/on this list), please speak up! If I like the ideas, I'll throw them in the design document before I do a full re-write of the rotator,
