Mixmycoin is an innovative Bitcoin mixer.

Why would you mix your Bitcoins?

All bitcoin transactions are public. Anyone can see where you are receiving Bitcoins from, and who you are sending Bitcoins to. A Bitcoin mixer anonymizes your transactions by using someone else's coins to make the transaction. Mixmycoin is an innovative Bitcoin mixer with a few clear advantages.

The Best Coin Quality

Our Bitcoins are sourced from average users who's interested in earning some more Bitcoins in a transparent investment. Traditional mixers source it's coins from previous deposits - which means that you're likely to end up with dirty coins such as those hacked from a website. With Mixmycoin, our coins are the most clean you'll find. Just 1.9%

Earn Interest

Simply deposit Bitcoins and you'll be credited with interest, every minute. It works out to be 18% APY. Withdraw at any time with a 0.1% fee (tainted). Your coins are used in the pool - for reference, it takes just 9 cycles to pay for one *year* of your interest. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we have a very clear and sustainable business model.

Mixmycoin vs other mixers

Be careful of send shared mixers, especially if they mysteriously disappear for a few months and get renamed from "Send Anonymously" to "Send Shared". CoinJoin, while better than nothing guarantees you will have taint, making it still possible to trace you. Mixmycoin offers 0% taint, analyzed 500 levels deep.

Fight Redlisting

Redlisting and other blockchain analysis requires the principle of coin inputs and outputs being linked together. By using a mixer, you help unlink this relationship - and if enough people uses mixers, redlisting becomes useless.

No withdrawal logs

Mixmycoin does not keep withdrawal logs, period.

Check out mixmycoin.com (JS required. We recommend accessing Mixmycoin over Tor).

Yes, there's no reason why you can't use it as a normal wallet! You can generate unlimited deposit addresses.

I mentioned this in the securities thread, but this, along with CoinJoin and Dark Wallet is what Bitcoin really needs. There are currently people with big influence and ties to Wall Street that are working to make Bitcoin locked down and centralized, with coin blacklisting. Mixing services are how we can protect our privacy.

If you haven't, you need to read what is going on in the private Bitcoin Foundation forums: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=334520.msg3590446#msg3590446

Suggest people try this with a small amount of coin first. I withdrew a little over 0.05 and the transaction never completed. Yes, I verified the receiving address first. My coin is gone unless it is somehow still processing over a day later.

The biggest problem I have with this is the lack of SSL. The explanation from the site FAQ:

Quote
Can you make your site SSL?
The certificate system is broken and only provides a false sense of security. Go access the site over Tor. The Tor exit node can only know your token and your withdrawals (which are public knowledge in the blockchain), they have no way to know your deposits.

The problem I have with this is that, yes, I know SSL is broken, but it SSL still prevents the casual attacker from lifting my authentication code or cookie. I trust most Tor exit nodes like I trust most coffee shops with free wifi. Maybe less. Indeed, Tor will tell you to use SSL on top of Tor to prevent this casual leakage of information.

Having captured my token, the Tor exit node owner can withdraw my coin to its own wallet and I'd have no clue where it went. That's a significantly bigger issue than the casual way this is discussed. While I'd be willing to use this for smallish one-time transactions, assuming the withdrawal gets fixed, I wouldn't want to deposit coin for long term with such a security mechanism.

Put SSL on this site. I don't care if it is a self-generated certificate, in fact that is probably better since I can install it when I'm on a trusted connection and then have authenticity while I'm on an untrusted location.

Let me know when you fix the withdrawal and add SSL. The interest bearing nature of this as a wallet service is appealing.

I lost coin to this as well.  I had the right withdraw address.  Use this with caution.

Since there has been no response from the OP, and someone else shares my experience I would call this a likely scam at this point. If this were a valid service I would expect some kind of response or assurance that a problem has been found and fixed. Just thinking about the logic of this, I would expect that a log would have to be kept long enough to ensure a payout has made it through several confirmations before marking it as truly paid.

Exactly my thoughts. Another scam...
