At current time (11/21/2013) Bitcoin is USD 690. What is preferable? Buy bitcoin directly or buy a mining hardware and mine?

If buy mining hardware, any recommendation that is not very expensive?

Thanks

be very careful with what hardware you do buy because difficulty is always going up.. better wait till price goes down and buy coins

Buying Bitcoins directly is preferable.
Most mining hardware offers and mining contracts will give you less Bitcoins in return.

If Bitcoins are successful they will be worth magnitudes more. The only unknown factor is the chance of this success.

It depends on your motivations and objectives. What do you want and why?

Just curious, what do you consider as "real money"?

I would buy mining hardware but the preorder model is not good for me. So unless I can really buy instead of preorder, I will wait and see later
