Hi,

Obviously, this not the first post I'd hoped for but over the last month I've been buying/trading various coins.

I withdrew a few hundred LTC  from Vicurex's site.  They're log shows my address properly, but it does not show a transaction ID, nor have the coins shown up in my wallet.  Just before this I withdrew some FTC and it went through without a problem.

I've emailed them twice over the last day or so and no response.

Any advice?

Thanks,

LTC Vinny

I'm having the same problem.
I've been able to withdraw coins from Vircurex before no problem
However, I tried to withdraw about 400 ltc yesterday evening and I'm still waiting for them to show up in my wallet.
My account history lists the transaction but there is no TrxID.
I've checked the litecoin blockchain and so far there is no sign of a transaction.
I've also sent them a couple of emails with no response.

I've heard of this happening to others on Vircurex before and they sorted it out.
Still, it's a bit worrying having your coins in Limbo somewhere with no way of knowing whats going on.

You can put an address into http://block-explorer.com/ and it should show you the history for that address. Not sure if there is a better way. I'm still kinda new to this.

Kumala is the guy in charge at Vircurex. Maybe we can get a hold of him.

Vinny,

Same problem with a buddy of mine, but with withdrawing LTC from Vircurex. Sent 1 LTC, no problem. 25 minutes later he sent a larger transfer out of Vircurex 500LTC and no Transaction ID appeared and it never hit the blockchain. Checked several explorers and the transaction is not there.

If I were to play a guess, the 'hot' wallet for the exchange might have been dry and the admin might need to move LTC from the 'cold' offline wallet.

My friend still awaits a reply from the admin.

Please update if any of y'all get an update from Vircurex administrators.

Really?  This could have meant that they ran off with even more coins Wink
I don't trust vicurex, I prefer cryptsy.  I don't know why, but I'm sure I made the right decision.  I suggest you guys all contact their support immediately, if not yet.

The hot wallet thing makes sense.

I've emailed customer service twice but they still haven't gotten back to me.
I sent Kumala a PM as well.
If I hear back from anyone I'll post about it here.

Vircurex seems to have experienced problems with deposits and withdraws in the past and they were resolved.

Hello everyone

I just found out today that this was a scam please tell me you are really joking. I have invested our life saving and sold our stuff and my son's to try to start a new bitcoin business. And I am now out of work so I went to check on my order and the site is gone. My wife is going to kill me. I didn't check on it because back order takes forever any way I was hoping to have it before the holidays and now this on top of being out of work. Please tell me this is a joke.

Seems like it's a problem with Vircurex's LTC wallet specifically.
Also, it only seems to be happening with larger amounts of LTC.

Has anyone been able to withdraw smaller amounts of LTC?
Or any other coins?

Then what danjaf said earlier about the hot wallet kinda makes sense.
They have enough in it to handle small withdraws but not big ones.

The problem is the date (time passed with no support + sudden price rise of LTC) , amount of LTC ( Over 500 LTC is hardly pocket change) and no transaction ID . Very scary and confusing for new users and people risking it all lol Tongue

Looks like we hit them same day... and got the same result.  I've had no response from email support.
