Who is the whale doing this? Or is it perhaps the owners of MTgox instead? Scam the people before fading into obscurity?

Btc-e is following a little, and the chinese? Naah it seems there's not enough of arbitrage between the east and west. This would be a good reason to have decentralized exchanges, less hidden players that way.

I think the person/group was trying to instigate a monday repeat.

people need to learn trading psychology..

EG April
= financial year end/start

november december = sell off to get presents and gifts ready for christmas.

and then if you check every month inbetween, the first week of every month there are mini ramps and dumps, this is 'pay day' and store restock days (most probably)

theres a pattern to this in every market. so dont panic next time

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Yup.

End of December to summer vacation booking profit-taking is generally the best time of the year to buy hold anything.

Edit: That should be hold. You want to accumulate in the fall while people are dumping for Christmas then hold until spring or early summer.
