CGminer registers with the servers I specify, but does not start mining. What to do?

Running quad-core core2, nvidia 7650GS GPU, registered with Eclipse and Triplemining.

Try bitminter it has an easy to use Java app for mining or GUIminer, both are much easier to use.

but most likely your problem is not having installed AMD OpenCL

Thank you for the reply, Gator. I've tried GUI-miner with the same result, as well as EasyMiner, same result there as well. The 7650GS is made by Nvidia, though, so I guess OpenCL would not factor in. I'll give bitminter a shot.

Sorry, assumed nobody used nvidia  Tongue

You need the nVidia equivalent of OpenCL https://developer.nvidia.com/opencl

but your GPU may be so old it doesn't have CUDA, 8000 range was the oldest I think that had it.

I don't understand.  Are you saying that cgminer has discontinued supporting GPU mining?  Why?

As Qbeczeq mentioned, with the 3.8.x version of CG-Miner, GPU mining has been removed.

If you are looking for a comparable alternative, you may want to take a look at BFGMiner. I can't vouch for quality, but it appears to be very similar to CG-Miner

Why has it been removed though? I don't see anything wrong with it (other then it burning out your GPU)

I installed OpenCL for NVIDIA as myself uses NVIDIA but problem's still here.

My miner is a latest ASICMINER and uses costumed cgminer, version 4.3 or something.

Same "no devices detected" but no idea why now. this is really trivial.

What is the version of your windows? Is it 32 or 64 bit windows? This is very important.

I do believe that Cudaminer will give you the best performance out of your Nvidia GPU.  I also recommend you download GPU-Z and check that your GPU supports CUDA.
