A lot of Bitcoin related commercial services/products are run anonymously or pseudonymously to be precise. In other words, the real identity of their owner(s) is not publicly known (http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/ comes to mind). I am currently working on launching a Bitcoin related business and am debating which route I should take: transparency vs anonymity. It seems both approaches have pros and cons.

Transparency:

+ Easier
+ Users are more likely to trust you
- Bitcoin being still in a legal grey area: increased risk of being bullied by government
- Loss of personal privacy

Anonymity:

+ More aligned with Bitcoin's philosophy
+ Lower risk of getting hacked / scammed / physically robbed
- More difficult to gain and maintain trust of users

Am I forgetting anything? What are your thoughts?
