Hello dear miners!
I'm wondering if my Thermaltake SmartSE 730W Power Supply can power 3x AMD Radeon RX580 + 1x Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070
Is it enough or do I need more power?  Grin Grin Grin

What is the wattage output of your GPU's?

Rx580 can draw power from 150-200w from the wall stock settings

your 3 AMD alone will almost draw 600w then add nvidia 1070 and your system, its already power short,  not unless you know how to modd them and underclock/undervolt

get at least 850w for the entire system, but if you plan for additional GPU's later on better have higher ones.

Nope, with a 1070 in the list, it can't even underclocked.
It only got around 480W on its 12v Rail (reference image) Even two RX580 might get unstable using the default overlooking settings.
And It didn't have enough 6/8-pin power connector for all the 4 gpu and their risers. Unless you can risk using sata connectors to the risers.

For reference: (blurry)

Absolutely can not your PSU to run the GPU. Your GPU need PSU around 1300w - 1500w.
Please don't push too much your PSU to run it. Or your PSU will burn. And please to be good miner.

Check corsair 1000rmx for that. One 1000w corsair powers 5x rx580. Also do not forget to careful connection with PCIe power cables and sata. And no more than 2 GPU’s on 1 sata power cable.

No it can't. You'd need a minimum 1000W PSU, or even better 1200W to keep it under 90% load.

Always remember when choosing a power supply, a minimum power reserve of 20%, your power supply unit is enough for 3 AMD cards

750 watts will be work for you but not enough for the mobo and processor side too mate. I hope you do not want to bother with heat issue. For better side you can go with the 850 watts or 1000 watts SMPS in the sense you cannot get the any issue further.

I am using 2000 watts power supply for total 8 GPU cards. In that 7 are Rx 470 and other 1 is Nvidia 1060 card mate.
There is no issue for me on power side so far but I got the issue like Windows platform some time.

My Thermaltake SmartSE 730W Power Supply can power 3x AMD Radeon RX470 only. With 3x AMD Radeon RX480 it reboot my computer immediately then miner starts. You need more power (900W at powerlimit 80% or more  at powerlimit 100%).

The recommended power just for your 3x AMD Radeon RX580 & 1x Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPUs is 882 W. You can check the recommended power supply & configure your whole system here: http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/

You definitely need a larger power supply. Please keep in mind that a CPU & other hardware devices like a HDD/SSD require power, be sure to factor that in too.

Your rig will use about 600 Watts or so in total with those 4 GPUs .

So you can maybe get away with 3 GPUs and the rest you will need for the PEG power for the risers.

For some reason the +12V rail is very low compared to the overall available power. Looks like a low end power supply.
