I know a lot of threads have started for this but I'm just wondering how would one go about purchasing a 49 port hub for Australian users?
Any help will b greatly appreciated

Check the power supply first, most high port hub just won't let you use up all the port...

I am usa based I have 3 of them..


  One)   they will burn up most power supplies. -----------killed 2 power supplies

Two)  If you get a good power supply and run 49 sticks  you may over heat the hub. ------------melted the fuse supplied

it was a 40 amp fuse.   they issue is a 40 amp fuse will not blow but it will get hot enough to melt shit.  I put in 30 amp fuses and problem stopped.

Three)  If you are willing to run 35-42 sticks they are okay.--------   I now run 2 of them with 36 and 39 sticks each  no worries

I'd b happy to run 30, would free up that much for me and hopefully the raspberry PI still picks it up, but I can't find anyone who is willing to sell me one and if they will they won't ship to Australia

maybe its the way you ventilate the board. it looks like you're not allowing air to go pass the board itself. your only cooling the miners. have you tried cooling the board too?
you might want to turn the fans around so they blow air at the miners rather then pulling air away.

I experienced the same melted fuse problem as philipma1957.  The problem IMHO is caused by high resistance at the fuse port.  These blade style fuses have aluminum spades and this gets oxidized just from air exposure. Clean the spades on the fuse with a stainless steel brush and you well fix the heat issue.  You well probably need to watch this and clean once a month or so.

My 40 amp fuse melted.  The 30 amp fuse I cleaned is running near room temp, the hub is maybe 8-10C above room temp.  I have 2 heatsinks on each miner and they run pretty cool with just a single Arctic flexie fan.

Finding a psu with a good 5V rail can be difficult.  I ended up with a cheap APEVIA ATX-AS520W-BK, it has 3 fans you can control, mine runs very cool at low fan speed running 40 sticks.  I hope it has enough on the 12v rail for a pair of Blades.

I had similar problems.

I used to use Windows 7 and moved away from it. I now use Minepeon and it instantly came up and you can configure any pool you want. It is running very smoothly and if my Raspberry Pi reboots, it starts up the mining automatically.

I don't have to unplug the hub, unplug every erupter, reinsert them one at a time....blah blah blah! It works perfectly.  Low power too!
