Not quite the moon. Virgin Galactic are only sub-orbital flights. It'll be interesting to see how cheaper the flights become in the near future. I'd love to go to space and especially if paid with Bitcoins, but I wouldn't pay anything near $200,000 for 5 minutes of weightlessness.

Saw him talking about it this morning on CNBC.  Not totally surprised, as Branson has always been one of the more daring visionaries in the business world, but definitely awesome!

My biggest concern for BTC is that it won't become widely accepted, and will remain a speculative investment/asset/whatever it currently is as opposed to evolving into a full fledged currency which actually assumes the role of "money" in the Austrian Economics sense.  We need to really push hard for more vendors to accept as a form of payment, but, more than that, we need to encourage everyone to spend some of their stash.  The more people we have spending BTC and using it as a form of money, the better our chances of it truly taking over the world are.

In fact selling the coins or spending is the same, except you dont pay income tax when you spend BTC directly. And yes, there are many places already where to spend BTC

I don't disagree that there are many places that accept BTC, but this is still going to be one of the main challenges, and eliminating the conversion necessity will be another.
