You don't need to protect myetherwallet.com , as it absolutely secured by Ethereum's blockchain . All you need to do is to access MEW from a clean device , which you use ONLY for access to myetherwallet . I mean zero other online or offline activity , because you can download and instal trojans from the web , or from local drives and as a result hackers will steal your money .

Lol.. I never use myetherwallet to login again. After I lost my ether and my friend as well. Now I either import my wallet to imtoken or use the metamask extension on my browser. Safest ways.
I don't even risk using metamask on the myetherwallet.com URL. Very risky.

To secured  your self from scam and hackers just make sure every time you login to myether wallet make sure the address bar has a lock icon on left side of bar and if you want to check your balance just use the safe method

Make sure you enter the correct address of myetherwallet. Do not log into phishing sites.
Next you need to secure your computer clean with no malicious software that can steal your data.
Store your private key securely and do not let it slip any where on the internet
That's the best way to protect your MEW

In fact, to protect your wallet is not so difficult. First of all, you need to know that you go to the correct URL. And the main thing is not to leave your private Keys anywhere.

Not that simple, the fact that myetherwallet has ever hacked its dns making it still vulnerable to hackers even if you keep your privkey safely or visiting the correct url.
even mycrypto and mew are now have forbid privkey method to login through their website, you need to download their app to your desktop.

how to protect your wallet myetherwallet.com Huh
First of all check your website link proper because there are many scam sites which are similar to it.if possible then myetherwallet.org set it as your bookmarks so there is no chance of scam.
Second one is never share your private key with any of person beacause it's very risky and any one can easily steal your coins from it.
Remember one thing that never use vpn during use it, beacause before somedays many accounts has been hacked due to use of vpn.

the best thing to protect your wallet is keep your private key safely, then avoid going some sites that is untrusted one or malicious site that can harm your pc or phone and steal your wallet at the same time. you can add an security also with your wallet an 2FA authenticator or metamask. and lastly dont share your peivate key to anyone else even with your family.

It is very important to protect your wallet that it does not shine your secret key, nowhere and where not to enter it in addition to proven sites, since your key is access to your savings, do not install untested programs since they too can collect all information from your computer, the main thing to save it in the place where its not anyone except you will not find

mycrypto.com team split from myetherwallet.com and has similar interface and functionality. For added security and prevent the DNS/website hacks, they have a wallet to install on your PC with a same user interface as the online web wallet so try that out. Apart from that, guarding your private key is the most important tip.

I do not take any special measures for security, I just follow the standard security measures known to everyone. So far everything was fine with my purse.

If you want to protect your myetherwallet, install one of the three extensions that myetherwallet has introduced to you as soon as you log in. It helps you avoid spoofing webpages mytherwallet effectively.

Keep you wallet private keys safely somewhere offline. Don't share your wallet password with anyone. safely keep your keystore/JSON file, so that, you can have two ways to unlock wallet, one through private keys and one through password+JSON file. If you only want to view your tokens, don't open your wallet everytime. Use Etherscan or ethporer. Don't open your wallet on an unknown device. People might have some malware that might read your passwords. Use metamask as much as you can. Don't share your pvt keys anywhere or with anyone.

Always check the certificate when you enter the MEW site, use JSON file and be sure to install a paid antivirus.

1.Bookmark the official MEW site and always enter into your wallet from there.
2.Never share your private keys to anyone.
3.Store the JSON file and the private keys in offline drive.
4.And keep your system offline more or just use separate system for crypto usage.

The main condition of purse security - do not provide private keys to other people who do not know well enough to avoid fraud.
Advise to purchase cold might, for example Ledger.
Open the wallet only through an antivirus-protected browser.
Do not store the keys and passwords on the computer (I keep everything on a flash drive)
The password must be complex

Previously actively used MyEtherWallet for airdrops and bounty. Personally, I was convinced that it works reliably if you follow the built-in instructions and do not transfer private keys to anyone.
