Hello

To help spread the word of bitcoin in the UK would it be worth setting up an advertising pool?

The more people who are aware of Bitcoin the more people who will support it.

The UK press have been far too slow.

Some pages in a magazine? Motorway boards?

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Really? The Guardian and the BBC seem to be fascinated with BTC recently. I think the currency previously carried negative, or criminal, connotations, I'd say the UK media have been among the most accepting in the world.

The biggest problem in the UK is getting BTC at a sensible price.  All the banks are blocking it.  If there is to be any advertising, it should be get the message out that we are being left behind in this new economy.

Until we do that, it's hopeless trying to get people to start using it.

How about starting an e-petition http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/
If we could get 100,000 signatures, it will be debated in House of Commons

I'm not very good at writing these things, so if someone else wants to have a go. I'd suggest it highlights the problem that the banks are making it difficult for innovation to occur in crypto-currencies. The rest of the world is leaving us behind.  etc etc.
