Many people seem to like bitstamp.net and it is said to be reputable.
Because of this I wanted to take a look at it.
But if you do a whois request for the domain name "bitstamp.net", you get the result:

Registrant Name: Contact Privacy Inc. Customer 0128129599
Registrant Organization: Contact Privacy Inc. Customer 0128129599
Registrant Street: 96 Mowat Ave
Registrant City: Toronto
Registrant State/Province: ON
Registrant Postal Code: M6K 3M1
Registrant Country: CA
Registrant Phone: +1.4165385457
Registrant Phone Ext:
Registrant Fax:
Registrant Fax Ext:
Registrant Email: bitstamp.net@contactprivacy.com

So they use a whois-protection service. I ask myself: Why?
On the one hand, this makes a company looking dubious.
Furthermore, they have no reason to do that. In their imprint they mention the full name and address of the company. And the directors are already known.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I do not think so.
For the DDoS protection of incapsula it should be sufficient to change the DNS to theirs.
But their is no reason why bitstamp should disguise their whois entry  Huh
