Hi recently i have received around 1000 shipchain tokens in my myetherwallet as a reward for participating in their signature campaign after three months. But the sad thing is that i have forgot my myetherwallet password in which tokens are now sent.I have searched my laptop, pendrive, etc but no use.As we all know that most of the ICOs fail and the tokens remain useless,i was a little bit careless about storing the password and private key safely.I think that tokens are now almost $80 worth.

Have any one come across with such a situation?

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

You're pretty much screwed. The best thing you can do is to look for your Keystore file, but looks like you've done the searching already to no results.

Also, the tokens you're referring to are currently only $0.195388 each.

I have not faced such a situation and would not like to face it. Therefore, always make a few backups of the key. I keep copies in different places. With tokens you will most likely have to say goodbye. If the course does not remember where the key is.

Have you looking for keystore (UTC/Json) ? you can access your wallet if you have it
It's very difficult to access your wallet if your private key / keystore is lose because one way to overcome it is to find it

I'm sorry about the problem you're facing right now.
I think it's pretty hard to access your Wallet without private key or json file. the only way is to remember your password's json file.
just make a lesson, do not be careless in storing a private key. I suggest you to be more secure save your wallet, import your wallet ERC20 into add ons metamask.
Thanks .. Good Luck !!

Losing your private key is tantamount to losing all your funds, I keep saying it over and over again- keep your private key safe, store it offline and on a secure drive so you don't lose it. Well I'm happy you were able to recover it. Try not to lose it again.

Sorry to say but there's nothing you can do about it. Once you lost your private key or password it's all over for your valued assets. First rule on MEW to be able to safe keeping  your private key by making back up on it or store it you can all access or remember.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.

Good to hear, but creating accounts in MEW is not recommended IMO especially if you will only depend on the Json file, you should at least save the private key or much recommended a HW if you have a budget.

Anyway, closing the thread will be a good choice since the issue was solved already.
