But when the site owner offers Ripple payment, hilarity follows. I cannot stop laughing at the site owner's conversation with the hacker.
This made my day. Hahaha.
What's more is that the site owner also offered 1,000,000 presale tokens of an ICO as payment. Then the site owner sent the hacker BCH although he is asking for BTC and sent a BTC address despite him clarifying that he is asking for bitcoin. It's really one hilarious conversation, specially when the conversation shifted from payment to asking what is the hacker's favorite series. If you want to know more about this story, go to the link below the post. https://medium.com/@cointalk.show/aaron-lammer-talks-to-the-hacker-who-bitcoin-ransomed-his-webiste-fd68d6699e05

thank you this was hilarious this also shows that a lot of people who think they are involved with cryptocurrencies are bag holding a lot of useless junk such as ICOs and lots of useless tokens that they can't even sell most of them since they are not even listed on any exchanges or have such low prices.

FREAKIN LOL. He probably knew that Dreamhost support would deliver so he trolled with the hacker instead. Welp, I just wonder how the hacker gained access to his site/VPS. P.S. What hacker uses Facebook to converse though?

I don't know if this actually happened or if it's one of those staged things to get a few giggles out of everyone, but I appreciate how calm these guys are. "Sorry sir" I love it that the alleged hacker is so polite in this situation too.
Hey according to Roger Ver Bitcoin does = Bitcoin Cash so y'know. Actually, taking a look at his twitter the other tweets with his ongoing commentary are even funnier than the conversation.

Wow that hacker is a determined one, maybe he knows with other altcoins he can be trace especially the ICO via KYC. This also maybe my day.
I have a question, what does situations like this do to BItcoin price? Does this increase the price or decrease the price Can this be stopped?

Bery funny conversation. I hope all hackers can be so cute that hacked ones feel happy and may thank the hacker for inviting him to communicate. I do not think this really happened and maybe this is just a contrived conversation for a joke.

in order to participate in the ICO you need to give up your privacy not after the token was released so there is no longer any tracing when the token itself is used. he is not accepting it because he knows it is shit! I have a question, what does situations like this do to BItcoin price? Does this increase the price or decrease the price Can this be stopped?
nothing! this one is a joke and even if it were serious it is still small. the biggest one was the ransomware which did nothing to bitcoin price!

Is this for real? Lmfao I had no idea ransomware actually directed you to real people. I just assumed you were screwed whether you pay the ransom or not. But man, the payments must be running really short for the hacker to actually go with the conversation lmfao. All this for 0.025 BTC? Have some damn pride, man! You're holding his site for ransom!
This would be even more hilarious if ransomware weren't a plague. If I had no idea what Bitcoin was and had to learn how to use it to decrypt my files, I'd probably hate it forever lol. Did he actually pay in the end?

this is most probably a joke but it is based on facts, and that's why it is a good one. nobody believes in or even wants bitcoin cash ever. for example if you go to the biggest pirate site in the whole worlds called PirateBay you can see they have multiple donation addresses at the bottom for bitcoin (legacy address and Bech32 SegWit address) and Monero address and finally the last line says BCash and in front of it instead of an address they wrote LOL ....

Yes, i also think this is just a joke and it is actually funny. The attempt to pay the hacker 1,000,000 rocketship coins, LOL.This could be a meme in the coming days. I am sure it will be posted on the crypto social media groups anytime soon.

You know what would be even funnier? If the guy did send him BCash and the conversation that would follow after that. Hacker : WTF did you send me? Victim : Bitcoin Hacker : That was not real bitcoins. Victim : It is, according to Roger Ver Hacker : Who the f@ck is Roger Ver Victim : The CEO of Bitcoin and owner of Reddit/r/BTC Hacker : You trying to F@ck me over? Victim : Nope, Roger Ver is. That is a discussion for another day, but one good use for BCash at the moment. It is the real Bitcoin, Right.

This reminded me of the Gleb Gamow thread where a newbie sent him a pm asking for money and wastes their time by promising them that he'll give him money I don't know what's the thread called but it's some funny stuff that will get you laughing. Thanks for providing the source I notice there was more screenshots of their conversation it's funny how the hacker suddenly mentions Bitcoin cash after saying he only accepts Bitcoin.

this looks more like the conversation between two scumbags the first one is the hacker who is obviously a scumbag for hacking the other person and stealing their money. but the second one is also a scumbag because he is trying to bullshit the bullshitter by trying to convince him to accept some useless shitcoin instead of valuable bitcoin because he is trying to get rid of some useless tokens...

The conversation looks cooked to me because its because when someone seize your property, you don't offer money before they demand for it. You wait for them to make the demand before you start negotiating which is opposite of what is happening here. The holder himself does not even know the difference between bitcoin and bitcoin cash what a noob hacker that could be.
I think I have heard about situations like this though but I don't think its any different from people kidnapping others for ransom and they ask for money in return but its still does not make money all bad because as others are using money for illegal activities, others are using it for charity and making the world a better place the same thing applies to bitcoin nothing changes.

His website was encrypted and it was held for ransom. Then the "contact us" link goes to a Facebook page! Hahaha.
