Haha it will never lose 95.4% of its value in 24 hours, sorry I lolled.

It might drop, but never that much. If it does? I'll bet 30% of my investing money on it immediately and go for some nice risk/reward.

I know that this is post is probably created for some nice discussion material but if you're being sirious: "haha" is the only thing I can say Tongue.

Bitcoin lost 80% of its value in april. But it took eight days of free fall, not one hour  Wink

There are sell signals after that $60 selloff so not entirely impossible.  But, yeah down to $600 is more likely.

Right. It's not impossible to go to $40 in a couple of hours. Seems reasonable to me. And with that, I think I'll double naked short sell on 1000% margin on 360% interest.

Don't worry..you won't be the only one buying at $40.  But then again, there is probably way to many willing to buy at $400 for that to happen.

Can't and will not happen, unless Bitcoin itself somehow breaks.

Way to many new people invested in bitcoin, to where prices like $200, $300, and $400 are bargains now.

To much buying pressure way before we ever get back to double digits IMO.

yes please

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

I think it takes about 2 major dumps of 5k BTC or more to give the psychological condition of it "crashing" on one of the major exchanges.

Exactly.  People know that BTC price can exceed over $1000k.  Even people who dont care about BTC, and are using BTC as a quick investment know that buying at $200, $300, $400 will provide a huge surplus in returns.

I bought more BTC @ $400 when it crashed earlier this week and have almost doubled that profit already.

This logic is so flawed...
Yes, there is a theoretical huge surplus.

It only works if a small amount of people cashes out, otherwise there will be a epic crash.
The newcomers pay the profit of the old bitcoin holders. The new bitcoin holders need more user to get paid sometime in the future. And so on. Hope you see the underlying structure.

< 100 BTC is not worth mentioning. Poor souls will always remain poor. Don't miss the failtrain.
