Check  http://dustcoin.com/mining

Difficulty level is really high now so that USB miner hardly give anything.

Not really Cheesy

Even if BTC were at $10k you'd make around $620 a month with 2,5gh/s. And that's with the current difficulty and without taking out the cost of electricity. Depending on where you live, that's a "profit" of somewhere around $300.

Assuming the diff were now just over 1 Billion you would be making 0.03 Bitcoins a month. With that you will need BTC to be at least $20k.

And that is insane.

- I do translations! PM me if interested -

i though bitcoin getting to $1000 would be insane..... bitcoin is impressive and the speed its going ASIC builders arnt keeping up with new demand so the difficulty could start to level off slightly. which means that anything could become profitable. its a careful dance between difficulty and bitcoin price and both are going up at very fast rates.... its all down to which one runs out of juice first

I've heard of people that run these as solo miners and attempt to find a block, sort of like a "Bitcoin lottery."

This should give you a clue if you were to solo mine how many days it'd take to solve a block:

Basically never.

sha-256 altcoins are garbage, but not x11, x13 and other good algorithm coins.
