New release Multibit. Help backup?

Hi,

I just saw a new release of Multibit. I got some backups of my Multibit map(Appdata/Roaming). When i install the new version of Multibit i lose my btc's, transactions and all(even if i put my backup Multibit map to Appdata/Roaming again).
If i re-open the version before it all seems fine. I just thought the Multibit map of appdata was fine to hold for backup. What is the proper way to do this so i can use the new version with my wallet? On the Multibit site i only see how to backup the key..
