Bitcoin.org Reverts Back to ‘Fast’ and ‘Low Fee’ Descriptions on Front Page
This week after a few months of controversy, the owners of Bitcoin.org reverted its descriptions about what Bitcoin is on the website’s front page back to “fast peer-to-peer transactions” and “low processing fees” after removing the descriptions this past January. The front page descriptions were changed by the website’s co-owner, a pseudonym called ‘Cobra Bitcoin,’ who has been a very controversial character in the cryptocurrency community.

“Thanks to Segwit and batching, http://Bitcoin.org  is now once again advertising “Fast peer-to-peer transactions”, “Worldwide payments” and “Low processing fees” as key features of the Bitcoin network.” Cobra explains to his followers on Twitter. https://twitter.com/CobraBitcoin
Two days ago Cobra reverted the Github pull request https://github.com/bitcoin-dot-org/bitcoin.org/pull/2010 and merged the 2010 descriptions back to Bitcoin.org’s front page.

should read

thanks to gmaxwells partners in a mixer and pools for no longer intentionally spamming the blockchain.
every time core wants a BIP implemented, spam attacks happen.
then when core get what they want the mempool has died down.
but next time core want the community to do something, expect an increase again and expect fingers to be pointed in every direction apart from core partners who cause the spam as their way of suggesting new feature X is desparetly needed as it will help reduce spam

funny how the spam event of mid 2015 coincided with needing to get a bip activated
funny how the spam event of late 2016 coincided with needing to 'get segwit activated by christmas 2016'
funny how the spam event of 2017 coincided with getting segwit activated

yet UTILITY of segwit is not even 15%..
yep not enough to cause a dent

and even funnier. if 95% of community actually wanted segwit. there would be 95% of tx's now using segwit addresses.. but they are not
so segwit has no claim to being the solution

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Bitcoin key features fast transactions and low fees has made millions of people to invest into bitcoin and made bitcoin so trust worthy. Bitcoin very sustainable crypto currency which has very great existence is because of its characteristics. Bitcoin is an asset and now people started investing into bitcoin as a kind of savings for the future generations and now from the last past week valuation has increased by 20% , so everything is good for bitcoin now and I think this is all because of fast and low transactions fee.

Bitcoin is an asset

no bitcoin is a currency. and all the value that it has comes from it being a currency. if you remove that part of it and turn it into what bitcoin.org people was pushing (ie store of value) then you will be killing its value.
it is good to see this nonsense has stopped!

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

It does look like more and more people are recognizing Bitcoin as a store of value instead of a currency.  Could it be that Bitcoin being used as a currency is what initially gave it value, and now it being a store of value/alternative to gold is what will sustain and increase its value?

The very known characteristics of bitcoin “ fast peer to peer transactions “ and “ low processing fee” are the only key features that has attractive the keen interest of millions of investors and make them to believe in bitcoin and this is very important to be on front page for these lines for these lines are introduction of bitcoin and for convincing someone to trust on bitcoin. Bitcoin is very sustainable crypto currency, we all knows this thing who already are the user but for convincing someone these lines are important.

and why is it that you think that? just because there was a lot of spam on reddit and elsewhere saying "bitcoin is a store of value" it doesn't mean people actually believe it. and it certainly doesn't mean the value of bitcoin is like this because of that way of thinking!
the only thing that shows is the fact that there has been a spamvertising campaign going on similar to the spamvertising campaign saying "bitcoin cash is real bitcoin".

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

it seems bitcoin will never return by 2010. I think that small falls are certainly possible, but in the end the coin will grow and grow
