Just to clarify what is the current situation to this, as this thread pops up in google on multiple places.
As of 2019 (August/September and onward) Poloniex is still listing XMR and you can trade on BTC/XMR as well as on two stablecoins (USDT and USDC).
It is also possible to buy Monero via direct deposit on Poloniex in the meanwhile.
Please let's not spread FUD, as everything is fine with Poloniex and Monero.
You're nuts. This thread was dormant since February and you bumped it. You're the one who's spreading FUD. Apparently you're not much of a reader either:
My caption was correct at the time: Poloniex was considering dropping Monero altogether because of their many forks complicating things and the fact that its primarily used for illegal activities. Did it turn out to be true? Obviously they changed their minds, and there's too much in trading fees for them to collect to drop it.
