When you have many Ethereum alts, you can exchange some of them for the other altcoins. In case that you have 2-5 ETH, you might probably hold them for a long time to get the better profit with the time.

Both are better strategy in which both will generate possible earnings. You could sell your Ethreum and buy some Altcoins but carefully to choose the best coins as alternative like Bitcoin, Ripple and EOS because if you mistakenly to choose a crap coins then your Ethereum will be wasted for sure too. Ethereum its worth holding too but the ETH market is slow moving right now so you should expect a slow gaining. Hold or sell everything will depend upon your strategies.

Why people until now dont trust ethereum,when this top two coins proved its capacity last January when the coin almost hit $1,500 the highest so far.if this cam reach that price so what more the &2,500 when were only in the middle of the year,so for sure by December of 2018 we are more than that price

For now hold your ether coin and don't sell it because your coin has a big potential to gain more profit than other altcoins. Other altcoins has a low chance to match in ethereum because of its good blockchain platform.

Hodl your Ethereum. It may not be such a good time to sell it now because it's currently on it's low point in the regular crypto volatility cycle. The best thing you could do would probably be to forget about it for a few years. Just take a look at those bitcoin holders. Those who forgot about it gained the most and got rich when they recently checked their bitcoin holdings. Those who watch the price constantly have a tendency to overreact and either sell to early or buy too late.
