I can't find any source, can anyone help out?  If we can find source material I can request a ban.  Thanks.

Based on this users post history it seems virtually impossible that this is his own material.  Just look at the last sentence compared to the rest of the post if you don't feel like looking at his post history...

To date, there are approximately 40 theories, which try to explain why Deja Vu can happen. One theory explains that Deja Vu is associated with epilepsy. According to this theory, Deja Vu occurs, because of the seizures that occur in the temporal lobe of the human brain, as happens when people are experiencing epilepsy, which then leads to a complete loss of concentration, and ultimately makes people experience dejavu.

Then another theory that explains Deja Vu, is the theory of Familiarity Based Recognition. In essence, this theory explains that Deja Vu, occurs because we do not recognize the object we meet, in full.

For example, one day we are somewhere, and someone is wearing clothes that interest us. Then the next day we go elsewhere, and it turns out we see someone wearing the same clothes. Then suddenly comes our familiar sense, with the place, we feel like we've been to that place, but we're the first time to get there.

According to research, Deja Vu is often experienced by people who frequent the streets, often watching movies, and often dreaming. It happens because they remember the objects in their experience, so generally when they encounter new situations, these objects make them finally dejavu.

According to edubirdie, the post is 32.6 % similar to this link: http://listverse.com/2016/06/19/10-fascinating-theories-to-explain-deja-vu/

To me it seems like this person made an attempt to summarize the idea behind the article, touching some key points but leaving a lot of information out.

How about a perma-ban for this idiot?
He has lots of alts on here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.msg31846239#msg31846239

A post which you've qouted on OP is clearly only copy/paste post from other source since he can't even write good post before that.

There are several anti-plagiarism websites that should help automate checking for this kind of thing. It might be cost efficient for the forum to subscribe to one or more databases to check against posts.

That is actually a decent idea, as the forum is now taking a very strict line on this then automating the reporting would be a benefit.

Good catch, Flying Hellfish.  I've come across a number of posts like this in the past, whose quality of English doesn't match the rest of the person's posts, and I could never find a straight copy/paste.  Don't know how to "unspin" content in order to find the source, so I never reported the posts I found.

There are several anti-plagiarism websites that should help automate checking for this kind of thing. It might be cost efficient for the forum to subscribe to one or more databases to check against posts.
That would be fantastic, and I think bitcointalk ought to use something like that, given how rampant plagiarism is here.  I suspect we have posts that are being repeatedly plagiarized, and that's why a lot of posts within a given thread all sound suspiciously similar.

You bet it would! let's see how those shitposters that are trying to earn merit through plagiarizing because their spamming is not bearing them good results anymore find a way to avoid getting banned.

Although I'm wondering because I'm not really into technical stuff when it comes to programming/websites, but how would that anti-plagiarism website's database be implemented to this forum?

Sometimes spammers do a copy-paste of the post above. Like here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3376168.msg35972791#msg35972791

That's beyond laziness, he didn't even bother to type one-liner, why if Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V is so much easier.

To me it seems like this person made an attempt to summarize the idea behind the article, touching some key points but leaving a lot of information out.

I could actually believe that if the English in the quoted post matched even a little the rest of the user's post's.

I am very careful to make sure when I request a ban , which is why I opened the thread instead of requesting the ban based on this little bit of evidence.

The post quality does not match up, if we look at the users post history it seems clear he does not have the require English language skills to write such a summation...  IMO

I won't request a ban for a user unless I am very confident, as I wasn't in this case I asked for the communities assistance and it has been very helpful!

Just curious , Will you ask for ban for this user or not , Is 32.1% matching can cause ban?
I think if we read some articles and try to express ourselves then we can match that much % (as this article will remain active on your sub conscious.)

I read your post, and this was my immediate reaction.

You need to make some posts to try to get merit, but you are having problems in thinking of a topic. You look through the news items, and when you find something, you try to construct a post from the content. Of course that is guesswork, and I may be way off track. If it is true, then it is a dangerous practice, and it doesn't give you much of an advantage over a report and an opinion. This is the way I would handle the post.

Quote from: Kitco news bites
Commodity prices, particularly gold and oil have jumped higher Monday after Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Iran ran a secret program to produce nuclear weapons.

In a speech on Monday, Netanyahu released thousands of pages of documents, which he said were copied from a "highly secret location" in Iran that detailed an effort to build nuclear arms.
Read the full article here - http://www.kitco.com/news/2018-04-30/Gold-Oil-Rise-As-Isreal-s-Netanyahu-Said-Iran-Ran-Secret-Weapons-Program.html

The article discusses the jump in Gold, silver and oil prices as a result of increasing world tension. They don't mention Bitcoin, but as Bitcoin is becoming a store of wealth, and a hedge against devaluation of fiat currencies, there is a possibility of a new spike in the price of Bitcoin.

Note - I used the post subject title to provide a title for the post. What do other members think of this as an example? Apologies as it is the first one that I spotted on the Kitco site, but it probably serves as an example.

The Internet has made cheating effortless. Not only do we now have a host of academic materials available to copy at our fingertips, but there also are a whole series of websites which are specifically designed to facilitate cheating. These sites allow students to buy ready-written essays and papers. What’s more, the hiring of professionals is now easier and quicker than ever. Students, especially well-funded students, have a temptation to plagiarize that goes beyond simply copying passages from Wikipedia during an essay crisis.

LOL.  Do you have a source for your post here?

In a weird way, I am so glad I grew up and was schooled in a time before the internet made plagiarizing so easy.  Way too easy.  I can only imagine what students are doing nowadays.  Times have changed, technology has evolved, but human nature remains exactly the same--which is why bitcointalk is currently having this problem of idiots copy/pasting because they're too ignorant and lazy to write their own original posts.

No, I wont personally be requesting a ban for this user at this point.  As I said I personally need to be very confident before I will request a ban.

Ultimately I don't want to "ruin' any users account, especially an innocent user.  If I request a ban I am expecting to end up being challenged about it (by the user).   I want to be able to pull out the post and the source link so that I can effectively and quickly refute the challenge and move on to the next task at hand.

Honestly I think this user is a shit posting plagiarist and is here solely for the bounty and sig campaign money.  I also think it's difficult to refute this.  I also think as I pointed out in this users case he has sub par English at best for almost every single post and then all of a sudden comes out with better English in a summation than most fucking native speakers could do.  He has a connected group of alts sucking off the bounty tree.  The users intentions speak loud and clear IMO.

I admit I could be wrong so I don't think it makes sense for me to go any further although I do wish I could.

Found one more on the first page of his post history:

one of the secrets of success is
They have a vision.
According to Warren Bennis's classic On Becoming a Leader, leadership is "the ability to translate vision into reality." This means that success begins by answering the fundamental question, What do I really want?

Whether you call an answer to that question, your mission statement, core values, brand identity, or just your goals are not too important. Because "roses with other names will smell nice."

This is how Bennis unravels the idea: The leader has a clear idea of what he wants to do - professionally and personally - and the strength to survive in the face of setbacks, even failures.

The key word is "clear." And clarity means writing it down.

In fact, like SUCCESS.com's infographics on the habits of the richest people in the world shows, the two most statistically significant factors that make the richest people separate from others is that 81 percent of them maintain a to-do list and 80 percent focus on achieving a particular goal....

Source he used:
https://www.success.com/article/4-secrets-of-insanely-successful-people

He is so dumb that he even didn't edit the copied content and pasted it just like that, which is so clearly noticeable from the second last line of the post where "SUCCESS.com's infographics.." is written which in the original article is a link to that website's (SUCCESS.com) infographic about what is mentioned.
Such lazy people should not be allowed to post. There should be steps taken for such plagiarism, immediately.
