I think NEM has brought a lot of money into NXT.  NEM is not only the #1 asset on AE, but is higher than all other assets put together.

What are you talking about???

http://www.cryptoassetcharts.info/assets/info

That is a good site but it totals the numbers from an entire month.  NEM has only been out a week or less, so right now compared to other assets that have been out much longer, it is only third on that chart.  But if you look at a chart that only examines the last week of trading, you can see NEM at #1 killing it.  This is a NXT site.

http://nxtblocks.info/#section/assets_exchange

You say that the data is better because it is only for 1 week? What about the logical fact that after this week the trading volume of NEM will sink considerably?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Would anyone be interested in this? The idea is that i would run a nxt orderbook but unlike a normal orderbook it would be kept secret. If you placed a buy or sell order you wouldnt know whether it would be filled, you wouldn't know who filled it, and most importantly it wouldn't move the price of nxt. This sort of thing would require a very high degree of trust granted, but i think i have worked very hard to earn the trust of this community. My fee would be higher than normal, im thinking 2% instead of my usual 1% because i would have to manage the orderbook and everything also. Also this service would be for serious players. Small fish can just go to the exchanges and they dont have to worry about moving the market, so this would have a minimum order size. What do you guys think? would anyone be interested?

Granted that since protecting peoples privacy would be an important part of this service, if you would be interested feel free to tell me so in a pm instead of in this thread. If i get enough people to agree to place orders than ill go ahead and start this thing.

When and if the numbers for NEM go down, then we can say somebody else is #1.

I'm pretty sure we all know that and that is the life of crypto.

I just had said NEM is #1 plain and simple. For the last week it's trading is worth more than everything else put together. I didn't say NEM will be #1 forever.

Reminds me of the WOLF project.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=471166.msg5200255#msg5200255

The dev has lost interest. They are looking for someone to replace him and revive it.

I think you got it wrong. This has nothing to do with WOLF project.

Dark Escrow: Is like an exchange for buying/selling Nxt, but anonymous.

WOLF Project: Is a trading game through a new cryptocurrency.

Password protected wallets that can be recovered/generated from seeds.
Naming Service exchange
New Proof-of-Stake algorithm.

None of these things are new or unique to Qora. Even bitcoin 3 year old wallet (electrum)  has "Password protected wallets that can be recovered/generated from seeds."

In Qora having all the coins in one address does not increase the chance of generating a block - which other coin can fordge like that?

which other coin has Stake Voting system?

nxt? nas? ntx? nfd? n2? - sorry the answer is none of them  Wink

Quote from: Jean-Luc
It is not a clone, at least not a clone of the recent code. The code is obfuscated (probably proguard?) and I don't have time to dig further, but seems to be using a lot of third party libraries that we [Nxt] don't use. Uses jetty, and json-simple, but also jackson and mapdb, no H2.

The developer has definitely borrowed ideas from Nxt, but probably not much from the current implementation.

As for the speculations that it may be BCNext himself - not his style, remember the original Nxt code did not use any other libraries (even the jetty dependency was added later by CfB) and was a single file. It is more likely a good java developer who started from the original Nxt 0.4.x code like I did, but then continued his own way into a completely different implementation. But all this may have been intentional, to confuse people - so the conspiracy theories will keep going on.

That's pretty similar to Nxt.

Voting system was planed since the launch. The code is already there but not yet live. I won't call it a killer "feature" as it's not high priority. There are other most interesting things coming up, like decentralized digital good store and automated transaction (that will allow, things like crowdfunding, lottery, auctions, Dormant Funds Transfer, etc and much more)

It's not similar. This was tested in nxt and one address with a lot of nxt increases the chance of generating a block.

don't get me wrong - I think nxt is the most innovative coin so far.
I just wanted to point out the qora isn't a "Clone"

If these clones are really innovative, new and they stand on their own feet, then why don't you try to trade them in an independent place separate from this specifically opened for trading Nxt thread?? Which kind of attention are you trying to catch here???

I do trade them there, but this is a NXT trading thread. Nothing here specifies that I MUST trade against BTC, or did I missed something?
