My plan was to setup a website that contained a directory of shops both online and offline that accepted Bitcoins as payment with the ability to target specific countries, the US, UK etc.

I've just taken on another project instead, so now won't have time to develop the idea until the time is too late. With the media and public interest in Bitcoin right now I think it's an idea that needs to go live sooner rather than later.

So, up for auction, are the domains listed above, hopefully someone will use them for something good and useful to the community.

The auction is for all 5 domains, registered with 123-reg all with just under a years registration left.

It is funny that you had this project in mind for maybe, 3 hours before you realized that you wanted to do focus on another project.

When i looked at the whois for the .biz domainname (i didnt want to waste more time and look at the rest).

It said:
Domain Registration Date:                    Mon Nov 25 00:26:06 GMT 2013

So you clearly registered the domains to sell them.
You are fully allowed to do that, but some people (like me) think its a bit shady. (it stops people that actually build things from building them, thinking someone else is working on it, when its just a domain name broker.)

And so do you, otherwise you would have wrote: i registered them to sell them to a person who want to develop this idea.
Instead of lying about your intentions.

$1500 or $600 for just registering the domains and selling them off, that is a good profit margin.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. Not sure if it's worth even justifying but I don't like being called a liar.

I've been working on the project for a number of week and bought those domains with the intention of running them on the weekend.
You'll note that I had also asked if anyone on the forums wanted a developer on a project and in the thread you'll see I had a number of replies.
Shortly after purchasing the domains I was offered a job which I accepted. Therefore it made perfect sense to sell the domains as soon as possible.

There's no hidden pretence behind the sale of these domains and surely I would've given a better excuse had one been needed.

Regarding profit that's up to the buyer. The domains will either sell because someone thinks they are worth it, or they won't. I'm not forcing anyone to pay or bid.

Anyway, no point in turning this thread into an argument with our opinions. I'd like to keep this purely for the auction. Feel free to pm me if you would like to discuss further although I do not see the point.
