Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Why is NIX not mentioned in the article? Why only in spanish?

No and we joined the initiative a bit later, article was probably written before that. Check their website, you can find NIX in the partnership section.

I don't understand why people are so obsessed about this haha.

I don't understand why people are so obsessed about this haha.

I would not call it obesessed but rather a logical question since the post from Chainzilla is in englisch and they link to the full story which is written in spanish. So one could ask why did they not a proper translation if this news is so important. But it seems that you are happy with that. It should be in you own interest that NIX is represented in the best possible way.
It is also not really clear what role NIX has in this LABfin project but probably it is clear for you, since you have more informations than non team members.

I'm happy that you confirmed that this is not the long awaited news.

It is pretty logical that it is in Spanish since it is also focused on Latin America. More info will surely be released soon and you can always check their website etc. Don't forget, the initiative only started in late Dec, 2018.

This project needs to get a boost in awareness. That's all. Professional marketing/branding, big strategic partners, teams that build on top of NIX, great dApps. Haters gonna hate but they will become less heard with every step this project goes forward.

Is the NIX staking something like the waves leasing idea? Would I not need to have the wallet running?
Safe and funds remain with me?

Yes. No need to run the wallet, just lease coins to a lpos merchant. Funds stay safe with you at all times.

SAFU. lol
Topia probably hacked. When Block and NIX? Guys, take your chance and rock it.

First thing: they are hacked for sure, not probably.

Second thing, especially for newbies entering crypto: it is not recommended to leave coins at an exchange. Run your own NIX wallet, ghost them in the buildin ghost vault, stake them
or lease them with zero risk to a masternode owner. You will find everything in the improved NIX wallet software.

Sorry guys, english is not my first language ...

Probably, although it seems that were hacked. Just to be correct. Nothing official yet.

Lease them to masternode owner?

So does it have a staking and a leasing option? the last time i fired up the wallet (i think two months ago) it seemed to only have a staking option.. did not really look.. and a few days later i had some issue with the network so hadn't been on it since. I just noticed their twitter talking about leasing; which is a better solution personally since my pc is not always on and it's pretty ancient so staking actually makes doing other tasks when on a little bit slower which I could do without.

Lease them to masternode owner?

Ghostnodes have nothing to do with LPoS.

You lease and or create a smart-contract with one of the LPoS service providers, which can be found here: https://nixplatform.io/marketplace
