GOOD NOW LETS FOCUS ON IMPLEMENTING LOCAL VOTING ASAP
And why do you think idea of Global Voting appeared in first place? Do you potentially need it for any purpose?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

You guys need to keep in mind that voting in NXT is not the same as voting in a democratic government.
Who there really need a built-in goverment inside payment system. Stand up and say. I wanna rely on math here, for example.

So I firmly believe that the equal voting system (no weird scaling system, which will be exploited by someone to create millions of accounts) is fundamentally the only correct way to implement the VS.
Why do you personally need a Global Voting? For decide what kind of things exactly?

Can you put in 2-3 sentences what you are trying to say?

There are 2 simple systems suggested so far:

1 NXT = 1 vote

1 account = 1 vote

which one do you support?

What is global voting and what is local voting? When did those terms come into being?

NRS 0.4.8 is ready and can be downloaded from:

http://info.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-client-0.4.8.zip

sha256: ec7c30a100717e60d8abe50eedb23641952847d91ff90b9b05a74ff98d8a4cf2

From now on I will also be posting the latest version number and sha256 as the value of NRSversion alias on the blockchain: https://localhost:7875/nxt?requestType=getAliasURI&alias=nrsversion

Change log:

- Added Transparent Forging, will be turned on at block 32000.
- Memory leak fixed.
- Send money from the browser now also asks for the secret phrase.

There is only one new parameter in the web.xml, myPlatform. It is used to announce your platform - PC, Mac, Raspberry, NeXTstation, VAX, zombie...

The zip file does not contain blocks.nxt and transactions.nxt. Make sure you preserve your own *.nxt files before upgrading!

@CFB
Why he says to preserve our .nxt files? Can't i just upgrade and reload transactions-blocks?

As I reconginze, local Voting a thing to decide how control companies under groups. Dividents, strategy etc. No problem.

And Global Voting'll bring us things like blocking someone's acc or changing algos or something else, things that touch whole system? So all I'm trying to do now it's to know that what any supporter of Global Voting expects from it? What kind of problems he hopes to solve with Global Voting (in anonymous decentralized payment system)? Or it's blind support?

ok, I guess the main problem to be solved is long term survival of NXT.
But you didn't answer which one you support from the 2 systems I wrote above, be it local or global.

1 NXT = 1 vote

1 account = 1 vote

which one do you support?

It's unclear. We're building authority (51%+ or 99%+, doesn't matter) or not?

Is so, strike work "decentalized" and say it loud and clear.

Ofc, based on NXT inside created business (tied accs by algo when creating Asset or smt like this). No Global decisions at all. Just some competitors outisde suggesting new code to implement. If nodes'll setup it, system'll split. Not much diff. from freeride with Bitcoins forks. Everyone free to choose with which he'll stick with.

Nah, no central authority unless you count the development team. Features such as alias transfer will be implemented after a vote. Global vote is to implement more features such as dark wallet, mixing and many other things. Votes can not be used to destroy coins or freeze account.
Stop your bull and learn more, NXt is much more than a payment system.
The core underlying won't hardly be touched by votes which I think would be mainly for features.

Well, I'd use it for example to decide which peers to include into the web.xml as well known peers by default. Is that global or local, I have no idea?

Transparent forging: how can it predict who will forge next?  What's the formula?

U have to iterate thru all the accounts and for each one calculate HIT, just like u do that for ur own account.

Nxt is a whole new technology
It means nothing.

Before Global Voting Nxt is decentralized payment system with built-in decentralized too Exchanges.
After Nxt can become a el-goverment-like-thing, but word "decentralized"'d be striked away.

Doesn't seem so?

1 NXT = 1 vote

1 account = 1 vote

which one do you support?

ref: my earlier reply - simplified.

1 account = 1 vote is a waste of time because you get 1 NXT = 1 Vote anyway.

1 NXT = 1 Vote fine - but you BUY your vote (influence)
At the end of the vote the total NXT in the ballot is divided between all the voters irrespective of vote.
If everyone wants the same influence every one input 1 or 10 or 100 NXT and you get it back at the end
BUT if you put in 1,000,000 NXT and 999,999 people put in 10NXT then you probably win but everyone gets about 20NXT back so you had better want that outcome.
