I think this is helping people be introduced into cryptos through something they are already familiar with, which is huge for the community. Typically when I talk to non-crypto people, they usually ask what do I use it for and have a hard time understanding it. However, when given use case examples, they get it. It's kind of like asking people to explain how the internet works. Most people don't know how it works but they know what they do on the internet.

Thanks Gwyneth, agreed. Decentralized money is a great think, but DLT can be applied to all types of use cases. Financial markets is one of the biggest and to date, no other project has articulated a way to manage compliance (particularly cross-border) in a way that is efficient in a changing environment. That's what we're trying to solve and we believe our consortium model is well-suited for the job. It also enables greater price visibility and stability for users as well.

For those following the project, we've made a significant change to the phase 1 development. After careful research, we've decided to move forward with the project based on the ARK protocol instead of Lisk. This change will allow us to implement necessary functions of the swapblocks protocol faster and more effectively. Additionally, we believe that ARK's SmartBridge functionality will integrate nicely with the swapblocks DEX.

Hi everyone,

we have been talking on discord about switching from the planned 101 delegates to arks 51 to decrease block times.    If we go with 101 delegates our block times will likely be ~16 seconds, whereas with 51 our block times will be ~8 seconds.  This change is more of a preference at this point, considering the ~16 second settlement is millions of times faster than the current settlement time for the types of assets we are building this platform for, so we would like to hear from potential delegates and others in the community to see what they would prefer.
