Have been aware of bitcoin since it was under $1 but never bought any (d'oh!), been especially following it since early this year, mostly on Reddit, and am fascinated a lot with it.

I buy and sell domain names, have been doing that for a decade and in a way it's similar as it's an intangible item, but obviously different in that domain names are not used as currency. Still, have sold some domain names for 30,000% profit over the years and it's interesting to see something else come about that's similarly brought some amazing returns to people.

I do think bitcoin can have a future. I'm not entirely sold that it absolutely will have a future, as it's still been highly unstable and the propensity for fraud with irreversible transactions is going to make it harder for consumers to adopt over using credit cards they can chargeback with. Still, looking at it with an open mind and am open to selling domain names for bitcoin as well. On top of it, there's a chance that my stepfather who is involved with a business that is trying to establish their own Swiss bank may be interested in developing a debit card for bitcoin...we'll see what develops.

So yea, hi everyone. Smiley

I tend to agree.  I'm pretty certain that cryptocurrency itself has a future, but it's unclear whether it'll be Bitcoin or some other emergent cryptocurrency.  Just like in the social media industry where Friendster and MySpace pretty much disappeared and Facebook eventually dominated, it's hard to say what currency ends up winning the race.
