this is just an indication that bitcoin is making its niche in people's life and its purpose comes in many forms. This is definitely amazing in the first place.

Goes to show you artists would like to start getting paid in bitcoin for their artistic attributes.

Atleast I thought it was pretty cool! Grin
Thank you for this one! this is much appreciated in the world of crypto and i know some of you guys are happy to see this one. I visited an article that in western part of europe they built a revolt of bitcoin. not sure where is that place but this thing is going to adopt soon.

this is very cool, in my opinion this is a very good way to promote bitcoin, so bitcoin is getting known in all circles of society, and this art work is really worth to get donation with bitcoin

because many peoples already know about bitcoin nowadays, donation can be using with bitcoin too.
the good thing is the artist using bitcoin for good example, donation.

-snip-
Could be but it might of been put there by the artist but it does not scan because of the wall not being completely flat. Who knows.
But if someone does paint over it with theirs those funds will be traced and reported to the authorities.
We all know bitcoin transactions can be traced.
In a vain of life imitating art in a sign to the times.
The qr code can be seen on the artists website: https://www.pboy-art.com/biographie

I didn't get it from that reddit post but saw it on twitter and thought it was cool. Smiley

Well if it doesn't scan then it won't really matter if it's painted over lol. But yeah, there's always a way to swindle money out of good people, so that can't really be helped. In this case you just have to hope no one is desperate enough to steal tips. The threat of being caught through blockchain evidence is pretty low for people who know what they're doing, so you can't count on that to dissuade people who really want to steal.

I visited his site and his works look really cool. He also seems really into Bitcoin too. He probably paints that QR for every artwork because I can see a stencil in one of the photos. If he keeps doing it then it probably works for him.

nice found. i've never seen anything like that before. i hope somebody really donates some satoshis to the artist and that nobody changes the qr code on the image. that would be really bad.

This is a good way of getting donation even without your presence in the area. Before artists and others who ask for donation are placing a box, hat, cap or any other container so that passerby could give them money. They are not leaving their container so that nobody could take it away. So accepting bitcoin as a donation is very helpful since you do not need to stay at the area and you can just leave your qr code to do the work for you.

It is the start of a new trend, in future people will not carry too much change around so they will use a QR code and donate in bitcoin instead. Sales for street items can also be bought in bitcoin, but it requires standing around while waiting for the confirmations
It is a start for those who do street performances and not just artwork on the streets.
We all pass by these type of contributions to the art world in one form or another.
And this is a much better way to show our gratitude towards these individuals instead of putting coins in their cans or hats who perform at the sides of the road.
It is also much more cleaner to transfer crypto to their wallets then deal with dirty dollar bills or coinage. Grin

I doubt if anybody would report a scam of a few donations into a different Bitcoin addresses. Bitcoin transactions are not totally anonymous, but the record of authorities in catching cyber criminals is dismal. They definitely are not going to put a lot of effort into catching a petty scamster.

That is the real reason why he put his qr code on the painting so you would not have too. Cheesy
Just send those few satoshis straight to his wallet with a quick scan and send from your mobile wallet. Wink

That’s one way promoting bitcons. I hope that more institutions, especially charitable ones, would start accepting donations in bitcoins.

However my main concern is simply being able to add your own QR code to the piece. Graffiti artists are notorious for going over each other's work
