The way of investing depends on the free time and experience that you have.  If you have a lot of time, then you can do trading.  But I believe that it is better to combine investment options for long periods and for a short period.

Of course I would choose to hold long time! Easy come easy go so I'm for the more stable one.

Personally, lately I have not sold bitcoin at all. I had some problems in the past, it made me sell the most. Now I have changed the strategy. I keep bitcoin for a long time and trade different altcoins to have money now. People who are successful in trade always make me respect them. I hope my investment in bitcoin is a rich future. So it will be.

Some people invest in BTC for long period of time with an expectation of large amount. And some people invest for short period of time with an aim to short gain by using the volatility. Which one you choose most? and Why? Just sharing ideas.
As a holder i prefer to do both,i also used the votality of prices to profit because we also have our needs that i want to susyain.I also have investments for long term because i believe that it will reach to my possible target as  times goes by.

I expect a big return in Bitcoin, because I believe Bitcoin will keep on rising in the future, so I don't aim for short term gain, it's too unpredictable and consuming too much energy to keep on watching the price, I believe something big will come out if I hold it for long term

If investing in Bitcoin at the moment is difficult to expect to return to Bitcoin become true. Bitcoin prices are too high for all Altcoin, too high a rate to block the growth of Bitcoin and make it slow to double in a short time. Hoping for Bitcoin, it's hard to be realistic.

Actually I am doing both, I have long term investments and I also do trading, but just for the sake of the topic if I need to choose one I will choose buy and hold strategy. Why because it is less risky and you do not need to spend a lot of time analyzing charts/indicators. You do not to stay on your computer/gadget to check the prices.

I have both short-term and long-term expectations for this technology. My short-term expectations would be that the price would gradually increase over time for me to day-trade on a upwards curve <with small dipping in the price>, up to a point where I can reach my long-term goal to sell at a huge profit. <Ultimately selling at the peak to make the biggest profits, with a expected price of $50 000/BTC>

This is the only way to make small profits on your way up to the Moon. ^smile^

Well i am new in bitcoin but i think long term holding is good because in order to get good return from bitcoin you have to hold for long term and plus this what i have heard from people who bought bitcoin since 2012 .They say You need to have long term planning for bitcoin. Just think when those people bought in bitcoin in starting they must have hold it in order to get good return now .

I chose to be a long term holder and there are times that I'm also shorting if there's a need.
Depending on everyone's situation. You promised yourself that you'll hold for more than 5 years but you don't have anything left on your savings and there's a need to spend so you'll use your very last resort and that is to sell for quick and short term profit.
Its what the situation tells us to do, but as much as possible having other coins to do day trading as with bounty rewards can give a big impact on having a way to manage to earn while holding. It just a matter of what coin to release and to stick with.

You can do that if you think it's better, more profitable and you are doing good that way. Holding while trading those bounty rewards is normal today so the HODLING only applies during the market dips.
I trade but not with bounty rewards, I'll take portion and riding those coins that has nice volume so there's a sure sell and buy orders for it.
I won't gamble to those low valued coins and just pray it will rise.

I would select the two. Holding bitcoin for a long period of time really pays off and I experienced how my capital grew and benefits me and my family. Also if I have more time I will do some day trading since there is a huge opportunity to earn big if you are skilled enough to play in trading. Thus both of them is good and its just a matter of choosing what you want. For me I choose both.

I'm a hodler - holding on for dear life! It's a fun ride, Bitcoin's future has yet to arrive and I intend to be a participant when it does.

Trading is a tough thing, when you're winning you believe you can't be beat so you keep letting the plays ride. Then one day you do get beat and you double down or keep going again because you're sure the tides will change. It usually all comes down to the gambling mentality.

I agree with your opinion. And I am also a Holder. To be a cryptotrader who deals with short trade, one must have a gambling mentality.

Once we invest we expect profits in return, in envesting a btc put in mind that it is not always  profits.. As we all know that cryptocurrency is volatile so take it as a win or lose game, so invest an amount which you can afford to lose don't expect to much profits.

Holding is good and I support this, as it show serious faith in the crypto space, and when it moons you would cash out big. I also agree with you that trading is very tough, and probably more nerve wrecking than holding for the long run. However, if you can make little gains each day or each week, slowly to recover your initial investment, you can enjoy the ride of trading, as you would be playing on already acquired profits rather than invested money. Yes will you still expend resources such as time, and internet etc. But it's better than the principal amount all going down the drain.

Investment return is a prerequirement of every investment. There must have a return of every investment. It does not matter wheather it is short time or long time. Every investment should have a aim or target. If you reaches the target you should take out your investment return and keep it your bank account. Suppose you make a investment for a long period of time with a certain return. But your expected return is achieved within a short period of time. Then you should take out the investment return otherwise you may lose if you revise your target return. But, in my openion investment should be long term. If you achieve it within a short time that is well. On the other hand if you invest for a short period of time and do not achive the target, then you will be shocked. Besides this using volatility is a very tough works. In my openion if you invest something for a long period of time. You won't be a looser.

For me i can’t buy even a single bitcoin so i can’t hold it for a long period of time, so i prefer to invest in short term and use the volatility of its price to maximize my holdings day by day.

TRY TO LOOK AT THE BROADER PICTURE.

Right now cryptocurrencies aren't more than a speculative tool for easy ROI to traders and investors. The market is pretty amateur with a marketcap of less than half a trillion. Without a proper use case, many call it a bubble and expect it to die soon.

BUT

With IMF taking seriously, NASDAQ considering opening a crypto trading desk, Lightening Network gaining more adoption and support, Banks exploring crypto trading, governments taking it seriously, cryptocurrencies will definitely turn mainstream in coming years. This is the time when the big financial institutions have started taking Bitcoin seriously. People who are shorting Bitcoin at this point are doing a dumb mistake. I expect huge ROI if all of the above mentioned points turn out to be successful in long term.

Predicting bitcoin pricing is not possible. We can't says if the price of Bitcoin would be this much tomorrow. But what we can always do is to monitor the transactions happening and look out for abnormal transactions and co-rellate it with market price. But there’s no reliable way to predict Bitcoin.
