iXcoin Strategic Plan

Here's the plan for iXcoin to dominate the world.

(1) Release of 0.8.5 based client. So you'll get all those goodies like LevelDB, Anti-Dust, Multi-Sigs and the same robustness of Bitcoin.   This is the ONLY other merge mined coin that will have an updated client.  DVC and NMC have old code bases.


(2) Encourage Bitcoin pools to support merged mining of IXC.  GHash.IO and Bitparking already do. We will need to encourage more pools to start merge mining iXcoin.   With the new client, it will make integration with their current pool software much easier.

Target Pools:   Slush Pool ( 250 THs ),  BitMinter ( 275 THs ) , BTCGuild ( 1,400 THs), Eligius ( 378 THs)  

Please contact these pools and inform them of the release of the new 0.8.5 client!


(3) IXC is trading in just a few exchanges, however we hope adoption into more exchanges.  BTC-E and McxNow adoption will be extremely bullish event.

Please contact as many alt-coin vendors to start introducing iXcoin in their exchange!


(4)  Build more services... next project... Bitcoin Armory Wallet!!!

(1)  Source code for 0.8.5.1 released.

(2) Hash rate is now at 2,358,253.2858, which means that there's more than just Bitparking and GHash.IO that has this merged mined.

(3) Vircurex and Cryptsy volume are up and there seems to be no major resistance in the order book.

Update:

(1)  Source code for 0.8.6 released.  Mac OS X binary available for testing.

(2) Hash rate is now at 3,141,211 GHs.  Not bad for a coin that is priced at around 11 cents.

(3) ixc.boards.net Forum now open for iXcoin discussions.

Still lots of work to do, testing the client and working on the chromawallet.

Just realized that the priority list has changed slightly.  Colored coins in now the #1 development priority.

It is a feature that the market can relate to.

That is correct,  long term, if you value the coins in your wallet, then moving to an Armory wallet is essential.   

Anyway, these folks have got a lot of V.C. funding.  So I expect a lot of improvement in their code.

This will be part of the plan.

Short term however is working with a plan that is more like 'mastercoin'.  Please stay tuned.

A quick update on the plan:

(2) Encourage Bitcoin pools to support merged mining of IXC.  -  3.7 Peta Hash rate,  frequently #3 in most hash rate among all alt-coins.  


(3) IXC is trading in just a few exchanges, however we hope adoption into more exchanges.  - No progess at this time,  liquidity needs to increase.

(4)  ChromaWallet is the development priority.

(5)  Build exchange software for people to create their own local exchanges in their own countries.

The coin will be rebranding with 2 emphasis:

(1) International
(2) Support for user defined currencies

Supposedly the Buttercup or Butterball or whatever it was exchange software might not be just a free open source front end that requires their closed back end server to actualyl do the trades; someone said recently the server is free open source too.

If so then maybe that might be a good start for the exchange project.

You mean buttercoin.  Strange, they started on fire 6 months ago, but I have not seen much checked into their repo lately.  Furthermore, they seem to have received VC funding but I don't see any progress.

They built their exchange on Javascript.

ChromaWallet Beta has been released.

We will be investigating this development to see how we can incorporate the wallet natively within iXcoin.

The objective is for iXcoin by default support ChromaWallet.

So, if Namecoin provides Name registration capability, the iXcoin provides Smart Property capabilities.
