Hi folks, thanks for operating this forum. I have followed the BTC scene since pretty much it started but I wasnt brave enough to put my money where my mouth is (or was) and as such, have missed the boat...Oh well, the next thing that interests me is Litecoin - I see it as Bitcoin = Gold, Litecoin = Silver, as a real-world analogy.

I have a few questions to do with mining but I won't put them here, I'll wait for the newbie restriction to be lifted then post in the relevant sub-forum. I know the forum is the 'Bitcoin' forum but I'm guessing its OK to talk about them both?

Thanks again

Well this is how its developers promoted it in the first place and price seems to follow bitcoin quite well but i don't see any other value for litecoin except speculation.

That being said with a price of more than 10$/ltc it is great for mining!

Litecoin is merely a copycoin, it doesn't provide any significant advantage.
Can you make money with it? Certainly. But it's way more risky and speculative than Bitcoin.

I didnt realise thats actually what the plan was - thats interesting.

And as for mining, yup, I see it as good for speculation and also to learn about the hardware etc involved. Cheers for the reply.
