I keep getting the following error message every time I start the Bitcoin-QT client.

I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and using a different wallet.dat.

The only thing I have not done yet, is reload the blockchain. I'm hoping I can avoid that.



Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Blind guess... Did you try the -reindex switch ?
[OVER] RIDDLES 2nd edition --- this was claimed. Look out for 3rd edition!
