Things will be better if ethereum is being used as a mother coins as transactions fees will be less and transfers of ethereum is far faster than that of Bitcoin. Ethereum will also will increase in price and I think it will become the major currencies. I don't know much about the technology behind ethereum but many articles that I have read about them suggest that it is far advance than that of Bitcoin.

Well, yes. As some people do prefer using ETH instead of BTC with doing transactions. It sort of gives the traders the freedom to use bitcoin vs eth on their trades.

Some of the decentralised places already are like this as they're token focused.

Other exchanges already have loads of ETH trading pairs, some just as numerous as BTC pairs.

If you're talking about an exchange specifically abandoning Bitcoin it makes no sense. They'd be throwing money away. Many people are only in it for more BTC.

Ethereum is widely accepted is a coin to be traded in pairs with others. Bitcoin's fees are not so high for now, so it is not a problem. And besides, I guess the exchanges sets the fees rates anyway, so the price would be the same with eth as it is with bitcoin if we exclude the times when bitcoin is mooning hard.
You also didn't mention tether which only gained popularity as a 'mother coin'. It is the most stable and I bet the fees are cheap and fast, so for the sake of stability it might be the best one. Not to mention that there's also this binance coin which serves the same purpose, but is a lot less stable in terms of price.

No exchange accepts only bitcoin as a the main transaction coin. They also use ETH and Tether as well among other coins. So the option you are asking, is already there in the market and we see no significant impact on bitcoin price due to that. We will only see impact only if the exchanges remove bitcoin and accept other coins as main coins. Then we can expect bitcoin price to go down heavily because trading options in bitcoin will be very limited then.

Howeve,r I see no reason to worry about it because that is not going to happen ever. Bitcoin, being the first crypto currency, we be always available as an option. The demand for bitcoin si also increasing day by day, so it is hard for the exchanges to ignore it in any way.

Many exchanges use USDt as the main asset to which all prices are being compared and it hasn't affected BTC... yet.
FOR ETH or any other coin to be treated as the comparison, that coin will have to gain the position first. Nobody cares how a new coins value compares to smaller (but still popular) coins, like Stellar or Lisk, unless they want to buy them. Why? Because these coins are even more volatile than BTC and depend on the price of BTC and their local market. For them to become the ones to which we compare their market cap has to become the highest in the crypto world. Same with ETH or any other coin.

Yes the price of bitcoin may decease if ethereum was accepted as trading pair coins but if this happens the volatility of bitcoin price will decrease a lot and bitcoin will become one of the stable coin,so bitcoin can be used as a mode of payment once it gets stabilized.But it doesn't change anything to the traders but the ethereum transaction fee will increase if the number of transaction increases.

If all of exchange sites will accept Ethereum as mother coin, Bitcoin price will definitely go down as well as its volume and Ethereum's will surely go to the moon! I cannot say that it is either good or bad for the traders because for now, there are still some issues with Ethereum's network that needs to solve. Most of the times, Ethereum's network is congested if there are huge number of transactions. They need to focus first on the transaction cost and speed.

I think because almost all tokens that appear from ICO using smartcontract so eth as a measure of a coin and token more and more, I also use eth than btc because as you say sometimes btc cost is more expensive for transaction. eth as a measure of a coin may have an effect on demand and bitcoin prices, but for now not, cause some altcoins that are in high rank do not use eth as the parent coin.

I think because almost all tokens that appear from ICO using smartcontract so eth as a measure of a coin and token more and more, I also use eth than btc because as you say sometimes btc cost is more expensive for transaction. eth as a measure of a coin may have an effect on demand and bitcoin prices, but for now not, cause some altcoins that are in high rank do not use eth as the parent coin.

Once ICO is done mostly all coins will be dumped back to market so the growth or demand what we are talking is a temporary one due to these ICO sales. If ICO's are the one going to decide the price of a coin then by now ETH should have overtaken the Bitcoin price long back because until now how many ICO's has collected the funds. What I think is people are buying ETH to purchase other tokens not to hold ETH for long but people are holding bitcoins are a long-term profit which creates more demand for Bitcoin.
