Looks like it has never been more active then as of current. 3 pages filled with topics with the last post made today.

In comparison, Beginners & Help only has 1/2 pages of topics where the last post occured today.

I noticed most of the threads related to reviewing posts for Merit have been moved there in the last day or so. It may just be the posts that were in the Service section of the Marketplace; not sure.

Checked the link and I saw that the OP was ignored by me and realized that the author "nobatman" was the same person who's trolling in the Altcoin Mining Board (last year).
He's probably just posted flat earth topic for the lolz.

But the reply about "Hollow Earth" seems interesting minus the advnced races in the diagram.
Off topic now has less new topics but still unnoticeable to outsiders.

Every other forums got an off-topic board where the spam goes.
We now have the Merit system so, an unnecessary spam in the board is a pointless action for account farmers.

I think offtopic board is still active(look at it now) since the last posts that are made on threads there are still recent. It also isn't pointless at all, every forum in the internet have their own off-topic board, and bitcointalk should not be an exemption to this. There is also no need to revive it since it is still active. If you are referring to the activeness of quality posters in that board, don't expect them to be active there.

That's the whole point of off topic - to be irrelevant to this forum and not to have have any certain point. It is just always there, like trash. You can't eliminate a trash bin, because despite all your efforts, trash will appear one day, and you want to put it somewhere to keep other places clean.
