Well  a wallets the best option, but if you need somewhere to park it in between trading I've found Vircurex to be pretty reliable.

is the wallet the same like bitcoin though where it takes up gigs and gigs of space and days to sync and all that?  I don't have very many.  I would love to trade them for litecoins or bitcoins anyway but i think they are too worthless to do so...?

Namecoin is worthless?

I put $100 into Namecoin 4 months ago and its now worth like $2,100 ...

I've been parking most of my coins at cryptsy Referral | Non-Referral It allows for quick trading and if you're smart you can make some good profit Smiley

I don't advise anyone to put their coins in online wallets. Having said that, I do run one if you are into ripple: https://dividendrippler.com

You can also trade the coins you store there directly in the ripple network.

Ok let me ask a second slightly different question - if I want to immediately convert them into BTC and/or LTC  where should I put them?

Then you would want to put them on the market, cryptsy is a great one for NMC Referral | Non-Referral
