I would like to explore the refund option while the price of bitcoin is still so low. That way we can get as close to 95% of our refunds back as possible.

Thank you for the update waldy!

I personally wouldn't want a refund at this point. I would much rather wait it out and get what I wanted to do in the first place and mine.

While the rush for Neptunes don't starts again, if anyone is interested in a KNCMINER NEPTUNE from First PRIVATE Pre-Order
paid in the early hours, please PM.

Why are you posting this in this thread?

We already have more Neptunes then we can handle ( on paper ) we don't need more :-)

Refund Option will be revisited in 2 weeks - March 1, 2014

I'm going to revisit the Refund Option on March 1, 2014 to see where everyone stands and to see if anything has changed. Last time I asked we were at about 7/10 were fine with waiting for the miners- which I am fine with as well but again, I want to revisit that option in 2 weeks.

What happened to the website?

Sorry- was a hiccup in service- should be good to go.

Why are you not responding to my messages anymore.
Last time requested a refund for the share in this groupbuy!

Because this:

I have seven shares in Neptune #6 that I'd like to liquidate in full.

Price is BTC2.295 (regularly BTC2.31)

Please send it to my payout address at 1L3dfiDRH4Lfy4AjjiLRTtX59C1tkvknh1 and I'll pay for the payout address change fee. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I'll change this post as soon as it becomes unavailable.

Refunds are only given in the event that they do not deliver- this has been repeated time after time in all of my sales, sorry.

Hi WH,

Just sent you 0.33BTC for 1 shares

Transaction ID 58adcfdae39d1dd309c103818e2e5685e875bdc38fe1fa5563c032b1378551aa

And my address is : 1N39mUiye8Yrb5xKgr8rhMFKQLTbovGHx8

KNCMiner is better than hashfast

Thanks,
Xeon Wink

Got it Xeon, thanks!

And this from the OP:

  • Refunds will be given in case of non-delivery less 5% for management of the Group Buy. Note* refunds will only be issued when/if refunded by KnCMiner.

It looks like there are 2 different times/locations that informed you of how refunds are handled.

Nice rule because got now like 3+ BTC lost!

I would too, but like I said I want to give it a couple of weeks first.
March 1st will be coming in just a few hours. I stand by my opinion, id like to try and get the neptunes refunded. Luckily bitcoin is still "cheap" so the shareholders will probably get a full 95% refund. I believe waldohoover would also get a nice bit of money back as well.

Hi WH,

Could you post a quick breakdown of the math for how the refunds were calculated?  I was refunded 0.475 BTC for 2 shares, and my own math might be faulty, but I thought it would be closer to 0.633.  That's based on the $10k / 60 - 5% numbers you posted earlier.

What did I get wrong?

Thanks.

Waldo, please explain to the community how you forgot to pay ~30$ back for every share.

In the original thread the wording was value, as in value you got refunded. This clearly states that you have to send us the USD equivalent. Further, the unit was only priced in USD, bitcoin was just the payment vehicle.

The profit on your side at this moment is atleast ~1800$ per miner, amounting to nearly 10K over all the Neptunes.

This is money you took from the community, by not honoring your words, and it looks a lot like fraud to me.

The poll with the options didnt receive a majority on your refund amounts.

In fact the majority was wait-and-see.

Finally, if you want to be consistent, by your own logic you would need to pay back every hashfast groupbuy customer the original order amount in Bitcoin -5% fees, but i bet you won´t do that.
You will again look for the scenario with the most profit on your side, but this is the community you are stealing money from, and this sickens me.

Waldo, What are you doing with all of the profit you made of of this deal. It seems to me you could have only returned half of the miners to KNC and still ended up with the money needed to repay us.  We purchased this deal on the assumption you were reputable however you have been very quiet since you decided how you were refunding us.  Why don't you fess up about the money you made on this deal.

This is how a refund should work!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=347706.0

I bought 3 shares @ 0.15BTC each and was payed back around 0.818BTC. The refund was done in €. There was no extra fee or somewhat.
Also waldohoover seems a bit quiet to me.

You're welcome.

To be fair i have to say, that we were lucky with the low price in BTC. But anyway, he managed it really smooth.

I have to say I have nothing against the 5% management fee, it obviously took time and effort to organise these purchases so 5% is fair enough (6 neptunes with a 10K$ refund = 3K$ management payment for waldohoover).

What I disagree with is the refunds are being issued from KNC in $, however the refunds to the shareholders are in the original BTC amount. The poll said the refund from KNC would be converted to BTC then distributed to shareholders, that is not what has happened here.

It was obviously a risk trusting a random stranger with our Bitcoins, and with the lack of comms from waldohoover this will probably go down as a lesson learned for us all. Sucks I know, but unless waldohoover is planning on sending extra bitcoins out in the future when the refunds from KNC are received, this user and the site coiningsolutions.com look like being one to remember for future and avoid.
