But before you can buy you have to get verified which requires the last 4 digits of your social security number.

The social security number is never needed in ID varification for all other exchanges. It sounds a bit odd to me....

I've been using them with no problems for the past few months...Today however I'm getting a 500 error when trying to withdraw from my wallet.  I notified customer service, waiting for it to be fixed....I'll let you know what happens...

The price of BTC is different on each market. Have you ever wondered why?

The answer is simple. The price is driven by what people are asking to buy it at, and bidding to sell it at. Have you seen those red an green charts that rarely converge? It is that of which I speak. Coin.mx acts as their own exchange and add a fee as well. The price that you should be worried about is the price of BiTCoin on Coin.mx. Additionally, as nothing is directly removed from a bank account, such as with CoinBase, you are paying convenience store prices.

Sorry to necro the topic. Just wanted to clarify in case anyone else was curious about Coin.mx. I've used them - no problems. High price DOES NOT mean scam. Prices are market driven, things are worth what people will pay for them, as the above paragraph details.

Good luck, happy trails!

They have the verification to potentially fight chargeback.

If you want the BTC in minutes, coinbase/circle instant is an option or other sites which take debit card may be faster since it is more difficult to chargeback debit purchases.

Watch out from coin.mx. Right now their rate when buying per 1 BTC is $261.19...  and that doesn't include the extra 5 - 7% deposit fees.

I guess others were assuming they were selling based on coinbase, bitstamp and the other big exchanger rates Wink

Just used coin.mx for the first time.

From initial sign up to the bitcoins in my wallet it was about 15 minutes

A little odd on the verification but its to be expected in this industry.

7.5% fee on a debit card deposit is reasonable I guess.

Except that isn't the only fee.   They mark of the purchase price of BTC about 20%,   I only use them if I have nowhere else to go.

Ya i guess I didn't realize that. I paid about $9 over the market average.

ok so I've used Coin.MX 3 times and all three times been disappointed. i can truly say from the bottom of my heart i hate them if i could find them i would go burn down there office. they take your money store it on there site and you try to get it off, you'll have to wait for some random person to call (when ever they feel like it)and ask you all sorts of personal or irrelevant information. don't let  me start on the hidden fee's blah blah blah the tell you for using user mode they charge a fee that they never inform you of if you don't notice. as I'm writing this I'm still waiting for my coin. i never write a review but this sites service was so horrible i had to!!! please buyer be ware.

I was able to get my money off both times. But the fees are pretty ridiculous. I only use them if i need BTC in minutes as they do accept debit cards (with another fee on top of their inflated btc prices)
