Almost 88 Billion IFC have been mined! In how much time will the remaining 2 billion be mined? do you expect a price jump that time? i do

I need to get around to spending my 14-odd-million I mined awhile back in case it does spike. That'll be a nice, unexpected payday.

I don't know what infinitecoin is but it would be nice to see what happens when a coin is fully mined. Like a simulation for bitcoin afte 2100

I mined about 600 mil.
Only hold 15 mil as of today. I am still mining IFC 24/7. IFC has been very good to me. Goodluck with IFC everyone.

I bought zeta for the same reason and cgb is another that is almost fully mined.
But the thing is that all the prices of the alts are getting pushed up so much by speculation, and the huge amounts of money coming into btc and ltc tricking down through cryptsy and having a huge effect on all the alts that individual scarcity isn't really a factor as far as I can see.
I mean nobody seems to be able to mine any of the alts as fast as they are being sucked up by speculators so the mining availability doesn't seem to be super important.

I don't know what infinitecoin is but it would be nice to see what happens when a coin is fully mined. Like a simulation for bitcoin afte 2100 I agree, we will all see what happens when a coin is fully mined, but I predict that it will have troubles, since there will not be anyone to update the blockchain, how could one verify a transaction. Now the coins that have POS will continue to mine that way and the blockchain can grow. No blockchain is death, there is no one to secure the transactions. how could anyone believe that the value will rise. It will be become a fossilized stump of bone, just dead.

you can still mine blocks, expect that they will only contain tx fees. All IFC has to do is increase the fees for TX, or do what BTC and WDC do and slow down the last bit of mining so that it takes 100 years to mine the final 1bil or 100 mil coins.
The IFC community is currently discussing this and the first move is to increase the tx fees so that miners continue to secure the network, even when there isn't a block reward, only tx fees.

So why would it be dead?(by your argument!)

The wallet for this never syncs and doesn't even show your funds for many people.
And why the hell was it even called infinitecoin? It will be interesting to see what happens when all the coins are mined though.
