Protoshares - Why the blocks just stop coming?

So I've noticed over the last 2 hours.. its gone from ypool.net having 12 blocks an hour.. to 7... to 1?  What on earth is going on with the chain?

I think it had a terrible 5 minute block and 1 week diff adjustment. So if hash drops blocks don't get mined. If you lose 50% of your hash power blocks take 10 minutes and 2 weeks to adjust. Poor coding from a failed coin launcher
