Hello all.

I have a few computers setup with free internet and electric and I have been trying to solo mine Digital coins for the past
18hours with the wallet and I am not having any luck at all.
The only thing I can do right now is CPU mine, the computers I am using have 6 core Intel extreme processors,

I ran the command setgenerate true-1 on all machines, I ran getmininginfo and it shows it is doing something, is there another setting to tweak?

I would think I would see something by now, is this to be expected does it take awhile to cpu mine?

Thanks

Maxon

A CPU will have a hard time getting DGC, unless you use a pool (would still be low)

There are CPU coins though, DGC's sister coin is one of them (SRC - Securecoin) - you'd have much more luck with them, and they're worth a bunch.

Yeah Primes are very popular, and very hard to get solo mining - I use a pool for SRC, but even that is getting lower returns as the price keeps going up.

As others have said, get into a pool unless you have hundreds of CPUs available to you.
It's pretty downheartening when you are new to leave you computer on for weeks and get absolutely nada.

What do you mean 0 luck after 3 days. I 'm mining some dust of primecoins with an old athlon. You should do fairly well with your xtreme hexacore!

Try getting into a mining pool, bacause on your own you take a very long time to do a block

You should join a pool and download a miner like jhprimeminer in order to mine. Go to ypool.net and check  the how to section.

For this setup I'd try mining an alt-coin like feather coin and then find a mining pool for that coin.

My suggestion would be go with coins that are somewhat better close to bitcoin or litecoin.

Your best opetion is to join a pool. If you are trying to do this solo then you are likely never going to find anything.  Joining a pool will give you a lot more "luck" in finding coins over the long term.  Wish I had free electricity lol

Leave it, it's worthless. Try https://cex.io, it's the best way to invest your money at this moment.
