why is there no childboard for ledger wallets? I think this would help many user if questions would be collected and some sticky topics in the subforum created.

who do i have to ask to open one?
EDIT: i moved to Meta from Development & Technical Discussion > Alternative clients

I'd like to see a board for hardware wallets in general. It'd be nice to have all that in one place.

Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta would be the correct sub for a new proposal.
Anyway, i think new childboards for the most common hardware wallets (ledger/trezor/keepkey?) would help cleaning up the posts spread across several subs.

I'd like to see a board for hardware wallets in general. It'd be nice to have all that in one place.
Hardware wallet in general is a good idea instead of any specific brand name. I saw a lot of confusions about the appropriate board of this topic LOL
I am pretty sure this meta section is the best place since it's about a forum section.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

I support this initiative and I think it would be very useful to have child board for hardware wallets with separate thread for each wallet. Many newbies just post questions regarding hardware wallets anywhere, even though hardware wallet child board will not solve that problem entirely, it would be nice to have all related questions/answers in one board.

Support and bump here.  I suggest OP to change the topic title slightly to make your point clear, something like:

I don't think we need an entire child board for hardware wallet discussion. As far as I know there aren't even 10 hardware wallets out there, and maybe 3 of them are actually worth anyone's attention. Let's get back to the subject in a few years.  Wink

Sure, I see a lot of topics started about hardware wallets, software wallets and dozens of other things that have been explained over and over again. I see where you're coming from. I still think there aren't enough hardware wallets available on the market today to warrant a child board for this subject. A stickied post/megathread would be sufficient IMO.

Better have a board on hardware wallets early IMO, there's no reason to wait until everyone has them because it that becomes the case bitcointalk would no lose that kind of traffic and crowd.

Nevertheless I think that it would be good to have all those discussions in one place. It makes the experience more user-friendly and also might even incentivize further use.

The number of topics related to hardware wallets is constantly growing. I don't think if there is any point in creating separate sections for each hardware wallet, one section should be enough.

That's barely half of the topics on the first page of the Alternative clients section.

I just visited the child board Alternative clients. It is again full with Ledger topics.
Thats why I want to suggest again: open a new child board.

Maybe support stuff from ledger could help answering questions there.
