There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

This is what the free market is deciding to do.

You can fight market forces, but you won't win.

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

I just think the world would benefit more if the majority would stick with bitcoin to lead the revolution

Well, the majority kinda is sticking with Bitcoin which is leading the revolution.

Competition is also good, and as with all currencies they are only worth what people are prepared to to buy/sell/swop/use 'em for.

The alts are like penny stocks now. Once the masses get wind of how much can be made here then everyone is going to want a piece of the action. Once that happens those penny stocks are going to skyrocket. Its already happening.

of so many cryptocurrencies, I have a bad feeling about 90% of them, specially litecoin, some like namecoin and peercoin I have found interesting to go along side bitcoin, and i know i'm not the one to decide, nor is of any group pushing speculations. I just think the world would benefit more if the majority would stick with bitcoin to lead the revolution against centralized banking, we are in the alpha stages still but the future is ours.

you would want to invest in one with long term investors right ?

This is exactly it. It's really worth slinging a bit of cash into the up and coming altcoins if you can afford it, just in case they ever gain momentum.

think about thing as cause & affect

You have multiple metals
this is due to universal physics.  These metals have intrinsic value.  crypto coins are different in both aspects

You have multiple fiat currency
this is due to the same forces that create different languages

You have multiple crypto currency

it is only logical says Mr Spock
non sequitur, at least for the long term.  Let me explain

For the most part, Any coin can take the place of any other coin.  Its not like you can start replacing different metals in different applications.  So not only do those metals have intrinsic inherent value, the also have (like crypto currencies have), monetary value. IMO most of these alt coin jumps WILL drop back down in the near future as the speculation market peaks.  Only those with revolutionary features will ever overcome BTC/LTC.  And then even if the developer has some solid economic theorys about the mechanism of the coin,  and then if he can also get it marketed correctly (ie, if he can explain exacly how his coin is different, and how those differences solve economic and technical issues, and market the new features).

Yes I hold lots of different shitcoins that are making BANK now.  Ill dump em like everyone else will when the time is right.  Ill keep the next generation candidate coins (peer/prime/ripple/nxt/soontobereleasedEMUNIE) that I have invested in.
