Does anyone have any experience using an escrow service?  Which one is trustworthy/good?

Someone has suggested btcrow.  Is that a solid service?

Hi, I'm the owner of BTCrow.com, just would like to answer a part of your post.

I cannot speak for the trustworthy part because I let that to users which already used my service with decent amount of bitcoins. We had some good transaction over 80 btc and already did mediation in order to protect users.

The point is we are the only escrow service which use 2 method of escrow

1) donation based (like ClearCoin was made) 1% fee
2) Resolution Center based (where BTCrow act as mediator in case of dispute) 2% fee

You can get more information on BTCrow.com by clicking on the "how btcrow.com works".
If you have other questions it will be a pleasure to answer them here / by email / by PM or in the official thread of btcrow here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=21544.0

We will also add a campaign to push people to give feedback (whatever they give good or bad feedback) by giving a 10% off fees forever once they leave feedback on our feedback profile.

Thanks
Jules

We're in the process of using your service.  I will post feedback here once the transaction is complete.  So far things are going smoothly!

Thanks!

I offer a donation-based clearcoin style service.  The rate on most deals is 0.025 BTC.  I'm pretty active on #bitcoin-otc, both chatting there and making numerous deals with other people:

http://www.bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=kgo&sign=ANY&type=RECV

I've also traded with several people here, if anyone wants to vouch for me.

My real name and place of employment are tied to my gpg key, which I've used publically for well over a year, and also listed on the website.

The site is hosted on amazon EC2.  Regular backups of both the wallet and the db are regularly generated, encrypted, and shipped off site.  I've also got a prepared and imaged AMI of the site.  Without getting into the details of how Amazon EC2 works, this means if the server dies I can spin up a new one in a matter of minutes.

So far we've had a little over 200 BTC shipped through the site without incident.

If there's any more information I can provide to help you trust both myself, and my service, please let me know.

depending on what kind of escrow service you mean

i offer a bitcoin to paypal service

meaning that you can sell bitcoins and get paid by paypal with a 5% transfee for the buyer (buyer pays the 5% extra , seller get the amount he asked )

i do not accept bitcoins , but i make it more safe to use paypal so the user can not charge back his money after you sended him the bitcoins (like sometimes happends)

you can find it on http://powerchaos.info

i can not speak about trust over myself , but i can show you a few things where you can base your trust on

i own powerchaos company , got about 4 differend sites for differend services i offer
including but not limited to webhosting / vps hosting / dedicated server hosting /shoutcasting @ dehost.org and filehosting @ boosterking.com , a gaming community @demonpower.com and a few more projects
more info can be found @ powerchaos.com (main site)

you can find a lot of me back on differend forums and on differend games to (check xfire for example)
you can contact me on all my sites or on my billing system ( sales@powerchaos.com ) or on msn/skype/gtalk/xfire/yahoo/aim

or to say it kinda easy
it does not mather who all trust me , it is you that need to make the desision if you want to trust me or not
i can only provide what i dit so far in the past 3 years , and it is up to you to make the desisison how good i am for you

Anyone who has used either service care to comment/review it? While I do appreciate the creators coming on the board to discuss their product, I'm curious to see what users say. How is the dispute process? What are the pros/cons?

i can vouch for btcrow having used it a couple of times, however bitcoinfeedback.com seems like a p.i.t.a so i've left no official review of btcrow anywhere (until this post).

i can't vouch for the dispute process yet though as all of my deals have gone smoothly so far.

Hmmm this can explain why I didn't received any review even when pushing a 20% lifetime discount after entering feedback.

I just changed review provider, seems more easy to provide review.

I think the localbitcoins.com escrow works pretty well in my experience.
