Great! You can join the team and start translating. If these translations are almost complete in the future, just ask me or Garland and we'll provide you with a live preview and assist you with the next steps.

Everyone who is reading this message, we are now at the edge of witnessing something I cannot find an adequate word or phrase to describe. As a result of this translation project, there are now literally billions of people on Earth that can arrive on Bitcoin.org - the original domain used with the first Bitcoin website and also a leading search engine result for the keyword - and view it automatically by default in their own native language. Potential users, investors, developers, advocates, employers, researchers, writers, economists - countless individuals with an unfathomable number of backgrounds.

Ever since Bitcoin came into existence this has never before been possible on such a massive scale. You all here were part of the change-makers, the do-ers, and the select few who stepped forward to make this happen.

  • Arabic 100%
  • Dutch 100%
  • French 100%
  • German 100%
  • Hungarian 100%
  • Indonesian 100%
  • Korean 100%
  • Portuguese (Brazil) 100%
  • Romanian 100%
  • Slovenian 100%
  • Spanish 100%
  • Chinese (China) 99%
  • Hindi 99%
  • Russia 99%
  • Bulgarian 98%
  • Italian 98%
  • Japanese 97%
  • Swedish 90%
  • Turkish 86%
  • Polish 85%

These languages are now either fully translated from English or are being closely reviewed, very near to completion.

There are also approximately another 35 or so languages that are being translated on the way! And there will be more after that.

Special thanks to all of you, and all of the translators, reviewers and language coordinators. Most of all, thank you to Saïvann Carignan..

Cheers to Bitcoin - may it save the world!

Very cool, thanks!!

Sure, just created, it should be live in the next 10 minutes : http://bitcoinda.us.to/da/ and it should be updated on a daily basis, like other live previews.

The website also needs an easier to locate Download link.

Seems like you're trying to hide the Bitcoin Core...

Since you join the website:

Introduction
Getting Started -Click-
2. Choose your wallet -Click-
And finally Bitcoin Core

Bitcoin.org is about Bitcoin, not Bitcoin Core. And Bitcoin Core isn't appropriate as the default choice for most new users, so this is actually intended; Bitcoin Core is displayed equally with other wallets.

But ultimately, I think Bitcoin Core should have a dedicated website too like other wallets. But current website is probably "good enough" to not make this a priority.

Thanks! This is indeed a great way to preview the translations! Already catched a couple of typos Smiley

Bitcoin.org is the original domain name used with the first Bitcoin website. It was registered and is still managed by Bitcoin core developers and by additional community members, with the input of Bitcoin communities. Bitcoin.org is not an official website. Just like nobody owns the email technology, nobody owns the Bitcoin network. As such, nobody can speak with authority in the name of Bitcoin.

I'd say you're welcome if you want to help with German, as I don't know if current translators will be available soon. And otherwise, they'll be able to review your work and it will make their life easier as long as you take time to provide good quality translations.

I am currently translating in French, but reviews are always welcome and appreciated.

The new "Choose your wallet" page has been published recently and, as always, translations are welcome.

Also good news, bitcoin.org is now translated in 24 languages!

The following translations are outdated and help from new translators is very welcome:

Polish
Chinese (traditional)
Persian
Turkish

I just created most of the Dutch translations for the new "Choose your wallet" page in Transifex, but not entirely sure how to continue. Do I request a live preview now to get everything right?

The docs on GitHub suggest that I create a PR, but do I need to fetch the translations from Transifex in my bitcoin.org fork?
