china is going to break 6000 very soon, and bitstamp is on the verge of hitting 1000 and floodgates opening to 1100 - 1200 or more...

There are a huge number of sells around 1000 so it will take some time to swallow them all. Without better arbitrage these spreads will continue. :-)
