I've been looking all over for a relatively easy way to purchase BTC or LTC using my UK debit card or Skrill/Neteller.

Is my best bet to look on Localbitcoins and hope to find someone that's accepting UKBT at a reasonable rate?

If I manage to get some BTC where is the best place to exchange them for LTC?

im in the same boat here (us tho) and have been debating for days now on how to get started.  I will probably buy my btcs on localbitcoin just for the instant access to jump into this without the week(s) long delay. i do know theres a litecoinlocal.org or try btc-e for ltc or other coins once you get going. good luck

I've mostly been using localbitcoins recently, and keeping an eye on bitbargain too. Key is to get the right timing on what the market is doing - if there's a rally, wait a bit until you find someone selling at a price you feel happy with.

I'd like to know the answer to this too. I have signed up with Kraken, but that is taking ages and still involves international transfers. Bittylicious and Bitbargain are very expensive.

Some people sell tiny amounts on ebay. I'm not sure whether this is reliable or not.

I'd also like to be able to make posts elsewhere.

BitBargain works for me.

Yes it's more expensive than Gox at any given point in time - but think about the time it takes you to get the money into Gox (or wherever). In that time the price will change in the whole market (at the moment, usually upwards).

So it might be cheaper to just eat the price difference (between BitBargain and other venues such as Gox) rather than wait for interenational bank transfers etc. Depending on which way you think prices are going, of course.
